Thursday 28th June 2015
Today was the last day off school,well for at least 6 weeks. The school summer holidays had just begun meaning no school or homework or annoying young school kids and them jarring school teachers especially our tutor teacher!
School finished early today at 11:30am just before lunch, I made my way home and walked up the staircase to our block of council houses.
I lived on the second floor so I did not have to walk up to many stairs
I always did this thing were I never learned my lesson but i would never take a house key with me to let me back in my house. Bianca who lived next to me and my mom was inseparable they are best of friends and my mom always leaves my key her.
But it is well awkward knocking and asking for it kinda embarrassing too
So i decided to do something I always do and that was sit on the brick wall that sat right in front of my house.
I mean if I am being honest from where I am sitting to the ground concrete floor below me is kinda a big drop, so if I ever fell I would most likely die or have a serious head injury
I sat there for a little, summer approaching as the days go by, the warm heat slowly approaching until it rain ( casual United Kingdom)
I lived in Kennington with just my mom,
My parents are together but due to the house we live in it is too small for us to live together especially with my older brother
I sat on the brick wall till I heard some footsteps getting louder and louder
I turned around and saw my friend
"Hey Jadon" I say to the boy who was walking my way, we had the same school uniform on and he had a football in his hand which is nothing unusual
"Hey noel" he replied
Him calling me by my nickname
"Can I join you?" He asked me
"Yeah sure" I replied patting my hand on the brick wall for him to join me
"I did wait to walk home with you but I could not see you" i say
"Oh that is okay, I had to wait 30 minutes behind because I did not do my English homework" he say sitting comfortably next to me
"Boy you need to start doing your homework i can not be doing it for you all the time" I say looking at him
"Yeah I know but it is so boring stupid Shakespeare shit" he replies
"Yeah I know I find it boring too but the more you do not do it the more you get into trouble" i says
"I know but can I talk to you about something" he says looking at me
"Yeah of course you can always talk me to me what is up" I asked him slightly confused
"Well last Saturday I played a game for Watford and there was loads of the people that scout player to bigger clubs
Anyway I have been offered a place for Manchester City" Jadon says
"Wow that is amazing, I am so proud of you" i say to him with a big smile that grew on my face
"Thank you but I am so undecided on weather to go or not like I am leaving my moms and my dad plus my sister and the rest of my family including you and my other friends" he says
"Jadon listen to me, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity you may never have a big chance like this again, this step could lead you two ways : you could fail or this could lead you on to something incredible!
Please take this opportunity our area is getting scary Jadon more people are being involved in the wrong things and you are next!
You parents will be fine I will be here for them and for you sister I promise.
