Chapter 22- Unexpected Vacation

Pumasok kami sa loob and she kinda tour me around.

Inside, the house was cozy and welcoming. The main living area was open plan, with a comfortable lounge area and a dining table made from rough-hewn timber. The large stone fireplace dominated the room.

The kitchen was compact but well-equipped. The bedrooms were cozy and decorated in a rustic style, with soft, warm blankets on the beds and fluffy pillows to sink into.

One of the highlights of the house was the outdoor infinity pool, situated on the deck overlooking the valley.

We stopped there and looked at the breathtaking view. Mas mahangin dito at langhap na langhap yung simoy ng hangin.

In my mind I was thinking of her responsibilities sa clinic na maiiwan nito for a day, pero she deserved this vacation kahit isang araw lang. Deserve nitong magpahinga at makapag relax. Being a doctor is quite difficult, and she has a hectic schedule every day. Halos wala na nga itong pahinga.

"The last time I visited this place was with my sister. And a week after that, she took her own life. And I- I had no idea what she was going through that time, she was hurting, and I didn't even realize", Her voice cracked, and I saw her hands shaking.

Without hesitation, ay hinawakan ko ang kamay nito ng mahigpit. I intertwined my fingers with hers. Hindi naman ito tumanggi, bagkus hinigpitan din nito ang paghawak saakin. Things never changed; I can still feel a shiver ran down my spine at the electric touch of our skin.

Napansin kong huminto na ang panginginig ng kamay nito. Wala akong masabi para humupa ang kung ano mang sakit na nararamdaman nito, all I can do is let her know that I'm just here beside her. Always with her.

I want to make her feel warm and secured. To let her feel the deep connection and make her feel safe and cherished.

We just stayed there in silence. And suddenly, I felt the sense of belonging that I have never experienced before

Pupungas pungas na bumangon ako and immediately checked the wall clock inside the room. Napabalikwas ako ng bangon ng makita kong alas siete na ng gabi! Shit! Ang haba ng tulog ko! Kasi after namin sa may infinity pool kanina ay sabay kami nag lunch ni Adriana.

Can goods lang yung stock nya sa kitchen and some oats, yun lang lunch namin kanina. Buti nalang hindi naman ako nakakaramdam ng gutom.

Right after lunch ay sabay kami naidlip dito sa kwarto pero wala na siya dito sa tabi ko. Sobrang haba ng tulog ko. Ang sarap kasi ng simoy ng hangin dito at malamig pa. Sobrang comfortable, parang gusto ko nalang tumira dito or mag stay for a long period of time.

Lumabas ako to look for Adriana, wala ito sa living room at sa kitchen. Medyo nagpanic ako ng konti, pero meron pa kong di nachecheck, sa may infinity pool, baka nandoon ito.

Dali dali akong lumabas at nakita ko nga itong nag sisindi ng kandila. Naka set up ang table and not just a simple set up. It's kinda romantic dinner date. Seriously?

And the never-ending steak with a botte of wine. Tried this so many times but maybe this one will be my favorite. Napangiti ako ng mapalingon ito saakin. She was wearing a light dress this time at ako ay yung pambahay lang na pinahiram nito.
