Craig walked and walked until he felt like his legs were going to fall off. He stopped once he had basically circled the entire town and found himself by Stark's Pond.
He looked into the water and saw his rippled reflection staring back at him. He grabbed a rock and threw it hard into the water, right at his own reflection. He grunted as he sat down on the bench by the pond.
He said with his arms on his knees for what felt like forever before he heard a commotion. He looked up as he saw several people from school all crowded around one spot.
Craig curiously got to his feet and slowly walked over to see what was happening. As he neared he could hear Cartman's voice. He groaned. What was he up to now?
He eventually could hear the words being said; "You need to watch yourself! You should've gotten your ass whooped by Craig today, but instead it'll be me."
Craig froze as he hear no response but a pained whimper and the sound of something hitting something else.
Craig pushed his way to the front and saw Tweek on the ground, his face covered in his own blood which seemed to be coming from his nose. He turned his attention on Eric.
"Hey fatass! What are you doing?" Craig asked and pulled Eric off of Tweek. Eric was angry and took a swing at Craig, but he grabbed his fist in his own and squeezed.
"I was just teaching that kid a lesson like I always do! What's your problem? You do it too!" Eric replied, ripping his hands free from Craig and rubbing his knuckles sheepishly.
"Well leave him alone." Before Craig could stop himself, the words tumbled out of his mouth. He saw the bewildered stares from the people around and he just flipped them all off. "Get going! Nothing to see here." He took a step forward and the crowed ran off, including Cartman.
Tweek was the only one who didn't run off, and he was laying on the ground holding his nose and sobbing. Craig looked around and saw they were alone. He knelt down and looked down at Tweek, who looked back at him and flinched. "Gah-! Don't h-hurt me too!" He shielded himself with his bruised up arms.
Craig frowned. He felt... empathy. He'd never felt empathy before. He blinked before holding his hand out. "Can you stand?" He asked, not acknowledging the words Tweek had said, but instead trying to prove he wasn't a threat.. now at least.
Tweek looked up at him and blinked. He slowly held out a hand and Craig helped him up. Tweek stumbled and Craig had to grab his hand to stop him from falling. "N-no.." was all that Tweek could mutter as he gripped onto Craig's arm to stay up.
Craig sighed and knelt down. "Get on." He said as he faced his back towards Tweek.
"Wh-what?!" Tweek was shaking and didn't move.
"Get on my back. I'm carrying you." Craig said, more irritably.
"S-sorry..!" Tweek blurted out before putting his arms around Craig's neck from behind and getting onto his back.
Craig stood up, he was surprised because Tweek weighed like nothing. "Right. Where do you live?" He asked him as he began to walk.
"Tweak bros.." Tweek whispered.
"A coffee shop? What about like a house." Craig narrowed his eyes and Tweek shook his head.
"N-no.. I l-live at Twe-Tweak bros.." Tweek mumbled shyly.
"Live at Tweak bros?" Craig repeated, dumbfounded. So Tweek slept at the coffee shop? That sounded way sucky.
Tweek nodded sheepishly. "Y-yeah.. I sl-sleep in the break-break room.." Tweek replied and tightened his grip around Craig's shoulders. Craig didn't mind.
Craig just nodded and began to walk in the direction of the coffee shop. He knew Tweek's parents owned this place, everyone did, but he never would've guessed Tweek slept there.

Once they arrived, Craig tried to push open the door, but it was locked. On the door hung a little sign that said "be back soon!"
Tweek fumbled in his pocket before silently giving Craig a key. Craig took it and unlocked the door before stepping in. The shop was completely empty besides them two. Craig set Tweek down on a chair.
Tweek looked up at him and while fiddling with his fingered he began to talk. "Wh-why are you.. h-helping me?" The boy asked nervously. "A-are you going to d-do something to me?!" The boy called out in horror and tried to stand.
Craig grabbed his arm and pushed him gently back down to a sitting position. "If I was going to do something to you. I would've." He said simply before standing up and walking behind the counter. Tweek watched him but neither boy said a word. Craig went into the freezer and pulled out some ice, putting it into a ziplock baggie.
He returned and set the ice on the table. "Here." He said as he looked down at Tweek.
Tweek blinked and slowly took the ice. "Wh-why are you h-helping me..?" He asked again, asking the question Craig didn't have an answer too.
"Uh.. well fatass needed to learn a lesson." He lied. It was technically true, but he could've beaten up Cartman anytime, it didn't have to be today.
Tweek just nodded and didn't seem to ask any more questions. He wiped the blood off his face with his sleeve before Craig could stop him. Crag grabbed him on the wrist and shook his head. "Don't ruin your clothes.. hang on a second." He then stood up and walked into the men's bathroom. He grabbed several paper towels and wet them in the sink.
Craig returned with a wad of wet napkins which he set on the table. Tweek reached out for it, but before he could, Craig had already grabbed one and was dabbing it gently onto the smaller boy's wounds. He could feel Tweek wince under him and tried to be gentle, though he knew it hurt regardless of what he did.
"C-Craig..?" Tweek said after Craig pulled his hand away. He looked up at him with giant hazel eyes and blinked. Craig didn't respond, but paused, causing Tweek to continue on. "Thank you.." he said, managing not to stutter or twitch as those words came from his mouth.
Craig was caught off guard and froze. He wasn't sure what he was meant to say. After a few awkward seconds he cleared his throat. "Er.. you're welcome." He said in a small tone, causing Tweek to smile lightly.
Craig looked at Tweek for several long seconds before blinking and grabbing all of the wet paper towels. He hurried over to the trash and threw them away, as he was done cleaning Tweek up.
Craig looked at him slowly. "Will you be okay by yourself now?" He asked. He wasn't sure wether to stay or leave.
"I'll be f-fine..! Th-thank you C-Craig." The blonde replied and Craig decided that was his cue to leave.
He gave Tweek a wave farewell before opening the door and walking through it. He started yo walk down the street and couldn't help but look over his shoulder and at the boy in the coffee shop. The two made an awkward eye contact before Craig scurried away, swiftly walking the path back to his home.
