"I think you're kind of cute."

He pressed a soft kiss to her neck and she breathed out a light laugh at the tickling sensation.

"Sophia it is."

"The Last of Us?"

"It's a video game."

"Yeah, I know what it is," Willow gushed excitedly. "It's only one of the most gut-wrenching and emotional stories ever brought onscreen. You're casted as Joel?"

"Yeah, and it took forever to realize that."

"I didn't think you could get much hotter."

"Oh?" Pedro tugged her closer by the waist, breathing in her scent. Vanilla and strawberries; sweet and gentle, a serene dream from which he never wanted to wake.

"Seriously, though, I'm proud of you."

"Thanks, corazón," he pressed a kiss to her temple. "I love you."

"...and an elope? Wasn't your family upset?"

Willow shrugged, letting out a light laugh at Jimmy's words. "We had a reception after where our families and close friends were invited. But we didn't want the hassle of a wedding. We're both busy now that he's doing Last of Us and Mandalorian, and I'm  shooting between Mandalorian and something else I can't talk about."

"Oh, a secret film?" Jimmy leaned over his desk. "You can tell me, Willow, we're friends."

Willow laughed. "That we are, Jimmy, but I end up mysteriously dead if I say anything. So, no, I rather like being alive."

The audience laughed and Willow caught sight of Pedro backstage, smiling at her adoringly. Her heart thumped against her chest as though seeing him for the first time.

"Fine, then," Jimmy brought her attention back to the show. "But I do have a surprise game for you."

"Oh, Jimmy, I love playing games on your show."

"I know!" He laughed. "Alright, ready the countdown..."

"And the Oscar goes to...Willow Sandler!"

Willow gasped, shock flooding her. She felt Pedro jump up, cheering for her and slowly stood, straightening her dress.

"This is Sandler's first win, having never been nominated for an award previously. She wins this award for..."

"Fuck yeah, baby," Pedro smiled down at her and she pulled him into a tight hug, warmth spreading through her limbs. "I'm so proud of you," he squeezed her arms gently, leaning down and pressing a kiss her lips.

"Go," he shooed her sweetly. "Collect your prize, mi amor."

Willow nodded, leaving his presence and walking up the steep steps slowly, trying not to trip — Jennifer Lawrence's clumsiness ringing through her brain — and made it up without trouble.

"That's my wife!" Pedro's voice shouted above the applause and a roar of laughter went through the crowd.

Willow chuckled, a blush tinting her cheeks as she walked across the stage. Halle Berry handed the Oscar to her with a kind smile and Willow took it shakily.

"Holy shit," She swore into the microphone nervously. "Sorry, can I say that? I'm sorry. Wow, I am in shock. Um, firstly, thank you to the Academy for this award."

"I want to thank my dad, first and foremost. For being there my entire life and always making light of bad situations that I've almost always found myself in. And Robert, my best friend in the whole world, there is no way I'd be standing here, alive, let alone getting this award without you."

Willow fought back tears, clutching the Oscar like a lifeline. The lights and camera were too bright to see the faces in the crowd, but she knew Pedro was looking at her, that familiar adoration and unyielding love ever present on his face.

She took a deep breath. "For my mom," her voice cracked. "I wish you could be here to see this. I miss you everyday, but this award is for you and everything you weren't able to do. And for Pedro," she sniffled. "The love of my life, my other half, my absolute favorite person. I love you today, tomorrow, and everyday after that, after time stops existing and the universe is nothing but atoms. I will love you. And I thank you for pushing me everyday to be better and choosing myself when I previously didn't know how. Thank you to the directors, and RDJ, without whom, I couldn't do this."

"And to every little girl," she smiled at the camera, trying not to cry. "Or grown woman who has a man breathing down her neck. Whether that be your father or your brother or your significant other, don't you let him crush you. Because you are better than that. You are better than him. And you are capable of doing incredible things. And you will find someone who will love you as much as you deserve. Thank you."

Cheers and applause ensued as she left the stage, handing the award back and wiping her tears. She found Pedro a moment later, having walked back to congratulate her, and practically threw herself into his arms.

"I love you," she mumbled into his neck.

"I love you, too."

AND THATS IT. Short and sweet, just little windows into big moments in Willow's life. I hope you enjoyed this story, I absolutely loved writing it and the journey it's taken me on. Thank you all for your CONSTANT support I love you guys so much. I left Willow's movie that she won the Oscar for a bit open-ended, so just go with whatever you think she'd win for.
