Oh, God. Did I really just say that? I mean, yeah, I thought it, but had it

really came out of my mouth?

Yes, apparently it had. Kyree's laugh, sweet and melodic, rang through the

room. I never would have believed her capable of making such a sound. Shelooked so pretty but acted so dark and tough. Then she did things like laugh and

made me second-guess all my assumptions about her. And most surprising of

all, I actually wanted to know more. 

"We'll see," she said, still smiling. A good sign. Definitely a good sign. 

"I'm serious," I said to her.
