Ulster University Overview

Ulster University (UU) is a well-known multi-campus institution in Northern Ireland. It is a one-stop study for students from over 80 different countries. It is a highly regarded public university and one of the top five universities in the United Kingdom for its outstanding research activities. The university hopes to establish an innovative higher educational institute by establishing strong links with business and industry. This one-of-a-kind institute encourages students to be practical experts in their academic fields while also providing opportunities for vocational work placements. Ulster University's Rankings and Achievements

In the Complete University Guide 2022 League Tables, Ulster University ranked first and was among the top 50 universities.Heron Bros has launched Medical School Scholarships to support Ulster University students and healthcare in the North West.Professor Grainne McKeever has been appointed as the Chair of the Discretionary Support Review.The Times University Guide 2021 ranks us 51st in the world and in the top 100.The Guardian University Guide 2021 ranks 61st.In the 2014 Research Excellence Framework, 72% of Ulster's submitted work was classified as internationally excellent. Six months after graduation, more than 90% of Ulster graduates are employed or continuing their education.

Ulster University's History

The Ulster University was founded in 1984 as the New University of Ulster. In 1984, it merged with Ulster Polytechnic. It was absorbed into four Northern Irish campuses at the time, located in Belfast, Coleraine, Derry (Magee College), and Jordanstown. Courses are also offered at two branch campuses in London and Birmingham. This is the first university to offer degree-level programmes in Biomedical Sciences, as well as online degree-level courses. The university's Virtual Campus was launched on October 8, 2001. The University of Ulster Freshwater Laboratory was the institution's previous laboratory name. The College Union (UCU) and Ulster University branch formally managed the declaration of university management "UCU Declaration of Dispute" and implemented the recourse in April 2012.

Ulster University is divided into four faculties based on separate schools and departments. These are their names:

The Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Faculty, Computing, Engineering, and the Built Environment Faculty, Life and Health Sciences Faculty, and Ulster University Business School are all part of Ulster University.
