I was watching Eina explaining to me the details of the Dungeon and different types of monsters that spawn from the dungeon. I was impressed that she had all this knowledge of the dungeon, it must be extremely dangerous to diligently gather so much.
"Now, Let me show you the different floors that you could adventure through." Eina said.
She brought out a really large map of the Dungeon which I was shocked to see that it had many different floors. I noticed that some of the floors have floor bosses.
"At the end of certain floors, such as floor 17, large monsters known as Monster Rex spawn in intervals." Eina started, she's been extremely strict and serious in her teachings. "Each one is given a classification by the guild, the very first is considered to be level 4."
"Monster Rex?" I murmured. "So they're the one's my skill is for?"
"What Skill? Wait no, don't tell me that's not for me to know."
"It's called Rex-Slayer. It increases my attack power when faced with a Monster Rex." I explained.
"Agh." Eina growled, hitting me over the head with a scroll. "You shouldn't be telling people that."
"But it's not as though you're a stranger. Even when I didn't know anything of what was going on, you were very kind to me. And despite the fact that I should already know all of this, you treat me no different than anyone else. You don't talk down to me, you don't avoid my touch like I've been told people of blood would. You just help, and without complaint at that." I explained, looking over the maps of the first few floors, which are very small in comparison to Orario. "So I guess that's my long winded way of saying, I trust you." I smiled, looking up from the maps.
"Whaa..." Her face grew red, but she attempted to hide it behind her hands full of papers. "We've only just met, you really shouldn't be saying such things."
"If you say so." I chuckled. "I think I have a good Idea of the layout of these first few floors."
"Ok then, onto the monsters." Eina laid out some images of a goblin and a werewolf (My Kind), but the latter were smaller than the typical werewolf of my world.
"These are the two monsters that typically spawn on the first four floors." Eina noted. "Those are the goblins, little green beasts. And Kobolds, slender humanoid wolves with sharp claws and fangs."
"Typically?" I questioned.
"The dungeon is a strange place. It is a commonly held belief amongst adventurers that the dungeon is a living being. And while there are 'rules' to it..." Eina faltered, as if saying that brought about an... unsavory memory.
"There are also exceptions to those rules." I finished.
"Exactly." She forced a smile back to her face, but kept her eyes closed when looking at me.
"Ok, how much do their magic stones typically sell for?" I asked.
"About 100 to 150 based on quality." Eina answered. "That actually brings me to the next lesson. Their magic stones are typically where you'd expect the heart to be, the left side of their chest. If you hit it or remove it the monster will die and turn to ash, but if hit the stone will be destroyed. But don't hesitate to do so if you're in danger, okay? The money isn't worth your life."
"Yeah, my life is worth way more than a possible 150 valis." I joked with a shrug. "Ow." This time she hit me over the head with a book.
"This isn't a joking matter, Y/n." Eina scolded.
"I disagree, jokes are meant to relieve tension, to bring light to the darkness of the world. To not joke about such things, is to live in the dark, and the longer you do, the more likely it is to consume you whole." I monotoned. "Leaving you in a pit of depression, that's far too deep to dig yourself out of.
