Stanley tried to do the Freedom Ending again. The Narrator barely said a word.
He hit the "Off" button this time. However, The Narrator didn't even watch. He thought so little of Stanley that he just assumed he did the Countdown Ending again.
There it was, this time. The numbers counting down. Stanley slammed on the "Off" button.

Stanley sank to the floor sobbing, pounding on the consul over and over.

The countdown froze as Stanley just sat there on the floor, just crying his eyes out. He suddenly felt a pair of arms wrap around him again. He sank into the hug, The Narrator rubbing his back in small circles.
"It's all right, Stanley... I'm sorry..."
Tears streamed down his cheeks as The Narrator gently wiped them away while remaining in the hug.
"I'm sorry, Stanley... You didn't mean to... I was wrong... I'm sorry..."
