The closest Mona had gotten to bearing a child was through her animals.

It seemed lately that all she could think about was how her future kids would look. She figured it had to do with the fact that she had unprotected sex twice in the last two weeks, and her maternal urges had grown expeditiously.

Would they have her eyes or his? Her tan skin or his more olive tone? Her laughter or his? Or would it be a perfect mixture of both of them?

Her train of thought was constant. She couldn't stop thinking about it that she was up all night tossing and turning. Even as the night sky turned into daylight, she was unable to think of anything else.

He rolled back over and started on sit-ups again. It was enough to have her groaning and she looked at the half-naked, sweaty man on the ground of their built-in gym. It wasn't a place Mona was often in and so when she had woken up to find the bed empty at almost three in the morning, she knew the one place he would probably be.

Blowing off some steam and putting more muscle on than he needed to.

"How many do you have left?" she mumbled tiredly, waiting for him to be done.

"Last sets," he grunted out, too focused on his current set. "of fifty."

The wide-awake dog barked on the odd occasion as he ran around the dark grey room, chasing after his tail.

She watched him for a few minutes before she became bored again and she turned her attention back to him. She noticed his pace slowing again.

"Done?" she asked, all hopeful.

He paused in the up position and glanced up at her. "I know we're close, but you watching over everything is making me lose focus. I'll come up to bed in a bit, okay?"

She huffed loudly, moving away from the treadmill she was leaning against and walked over to him on the mat.

"I'm not trying to be needy," She lowered herself to the floor so they were at eye level. "but I want to talk to you about something important..."

"Right now? It can't wait until after I'm finished?"

"No, because then I won't want to talk about it. It's on my mind now."

Shrugging as best he could, he once again lowered himself and knocked out more push-ups before pausing to rest again.

Figuring she needed his attention, he released a heavy sigh, falling back onto the ground.

His murmur was husky and low, "Get on."

Mona perked up immediately at his request, and she climbed on top of him.

She came up behind him and started to press herself against his back. He felt the almost-silky feeling of her night dress, warm from her body, as her breasts pushed up against his bare back.

Her hands rested on his tense shoulders, and ever so carefully, he started to push himself back up. He started his next set of fifty sets, grunting out the numbers as her lips grazed over his left ear.

"One... Two... Three..."

She was well aware of her weight, knowing she was heavier than most but he didn't seem to flinch or drop down as he pushed up and down.

When he reached fifty, dropping them both back down for a slight pause, she decided to talk about her emotions.

That was Mona in a nutshell, wanting to be with him even whilst he did the mundane task of working out. She could be rather clingy in a relationship, a part of her that hadn't been seen in years.
