"Maria we're here get up" my dad said as he shook me awake.
"Huh" i mumbled whilst still half asleep . "Maria WAKE UP" my dad shouted in my ear, i swear i aint neva jumped up faster in my 14 years of living omg.
"ok ok im awake" i said whilst mugging him with my tired face.
⇉TIME SKIP We entered our new apartment in harlem and damn ,it wasnt as bad as i thought for an apartment in sugarhill.
"You like it?" My dad asked me "i know its not much but its what i can afford right now"he said "yeah its fine pa"
I headed to my room and looked around , it was kinda big..so that meant i had alott of room to myself yay.

I finally finished moving all my shit in . I did my bed and bed sheets (pillows n stuff) my vanity, my bedside table , my pictures from brooklyn with my friends and my leds ofc.
And added a lil decor cuz i didnt want to be seen wit a boring ass room hell nawl.

I headed downstairs to the living room where i saw my dad sitting on the couch. "You done unpacking mar?" "Yeah im done" I answered . He nodded.
"Hey pa i saw a deli down tha street and im mad hungry so can i goo??" I said dragging out the go.
"Yeah ofc but be quick its getting dark" he said handing me $40. "Yeah ill be quick thank youu"
I headed back upstairs and picked an outfit since i was in the one i had all day.
I wore a beige crop top with some grey joggers and my beige foam runners ,then wore my coat over it cuz its coldd.

as i stepped outside the cold breeze hit my face and i breathed it in.
I was getting to the part where all the hoodlums and hoodrats stay and all i could smell was straight weed . Shi was nasty.
It was like this back in Brooklyn so i know to just be on my phone and keep my head down.
I ALMOST made it past then until one called me over "wsg ma" he shouted. I looked to see a lightskin with curly hair put back into a low bun .
I tried to walk faster but that lil nigga basically SPRINTED , no thats the wrong word ,BOLTED over to me .
I sighed as I watched him mug me . "why u sighing for lil girl?? A nigga cant say hi to you nomo??" he said .
"NO a nigga cant say hi to me nomo ion even kno u.."
"And also i aint a lil girl watch ya mouf" i said with a lil attitude.
"Or what" he said straight laughing in my face.

This nigga was steady trynna get mouthy wit me like i wont beat his ass infront of his niggas .

I was lookin at this lil nigga and ian gon front, he was bout fine asf . His eyes were what caught my attention ngl but ian got time for niggas they do me no good .

i got back to the apartment and opened the door walking in. "Took you long enough" my dad said to me . "What tf have u been doing that deli is just down the street and it took you 30 minutes to go and come back"
"Uhh" i said not knowing what to tell him
I couldn't just tell him i was wit a nigga he would kill me AND him .
"i didnt know what i wanted to get...sorry?"
"Okay mar its fine i just want you to be safe"

I ran upstairs to my room and laid on my bed eating my snacks and watching tiktoks .
I decides to go post on insta since its been a hott minute since ive even opened the app .
