Separated part 1

What was that? Why are there farm animal sounds in a forest? Maybe I'm already close to the next location. A farm from the sound it. If I'm lucky, I'll find a horse to ride to cover even more distance quicker. It would be nice to move faster and still focus on what's around me. Did it go from sounding like a rooster to a cow? But it sounds off, almost human-made. What if it's a person trying to get attention? What kind of idiot would... Rose? I can see her doing something like that. I should find a way to confirm it. But how? I think it's coming from the top of a tree somewhere over there. I can't see much from here. I'll have to climb one of these. It's been a while since I've climbed one. I think I was thirteen the last time. This one's branches look sturdy and thick all the way up. This one wins. This is as fun as I remember it. I'll have to remember to do this more often. Alex and I could race. Does she like climbing trees? It'll be something new for me to discover. And then we can... There! A person! It looks like it could be Rose. A little higher to get these branches out of my way. Better. Ya, that could be her. I'll shoot a fireball near her so she'll know it's me and we can find each other.

Sam shot a fireball at the tree where the person stood. When Sam saw that she hit the right tree, she descended to the ground. She sprinted in the direction where she had seen the individual.

Inside Liz' head

Woah! What just... Peter? No! He's gone! They all are. I need to find Peter! He's not safe here alone! What kind of sick game is this? Whoever brought us here better pray I find Peter alive and unharmed! Who knows what we'll end up facing here. Wherever here is. From a cage to a desert. I don't know which is more lame. I don't see anyone. Maybe he's behind one of those sandy hills over there. It's hard to see much around here. There's barely any light. I need to make myself seen. How? My lightning! It's big, bright and loud. It's perfect. Hopefully, this place has the kind of atmosphere I need. This golden-coloured sand tells me I'm on a different planet. Or an island on our planet no one knows about. Ok, here I go. Peter, I hope you're nearby and see this.

Liz brought down one lightning bolt after another. After seven of them, she stopped. If Peter hadn't noticed the signal by then, he wasn't nearby. Liz waited several minutes hoping to see Peter running in the distance. She finally saw a shadow large enough to be from a person but it wasn't moving towards her. She dropped two more lightning bolts and cautiously ran towards the figure.

Inside Gwen's head

Sam? Rose? Peter? Where'd they go? Where am I? This looks like a desert. How did I get in a desert? What am I supposed to do? Walk around looking for them? Or I might run into others from the cage. I'm not sure how well that would go. At least I can read their intentions from afar. Some of them didn't look human. Can I get into the minds of aliens? I can't usually get into the heads of non-humans. Except that time with the giant squirrels. If I don't get my advantage from a distance, it would be a lot more useful to have Rose's or Sam's ability. For the first time, I wish I had Sam's abilities. I'll have to settle for finding her. The others must be here somewhere... wait, how many terrains did they say there were? I think they said four but then three. So the others might not be here. Which means I might be alone with several others from the cage willing to kill to get out of here. That's great. I wish I'd trained more. Then I could be like the military me from that other dimension. She was so much stronger. Who knows what else she was capable of. The only reason we got away was because Rose took over her body. I wasn't able to do much. I should have been able to do more. Peter! What's he going to do if he encounters someone else from the cage wanting to kill us? He's not very good in fights. I hope he's okay. Maybe he was lucky and didn't end up alone. I really hope so. He already didn't like our multidimensional trip. At least then, we were together but now... What was that? Is that lightning? Great, now I have to deal with a storm... wait, there's no rain and that's three bolts in a row in the same spot... Liz! It must be Liz. I hope it's Liz.
