Your gaze shifted you him as his hand left the side of your head colder than before. His eye didn't meet yours, he started to put the ointments back when you leaned forward. "Uh uh, nope." You grabbed the two ointments from his hands with ease. He looked at you confused. "Come here, let's take care of that lip." Neteyam looked at you uncertainly as his body shifted. "No, no don't worry I'm fine." You looked at him as you tilted your head to the side. Why wouldn't he let you help him he has helped you so many times. You just wanted to help him too. "Neteyam." You looked at him as he took a breath in and looked down. "Okay, fine." Glad you won him over you turned to the ointment, you let your finger dip in before turning back to him. He was closer to you than before, with the sun shining into the Marui his face was gleaming. He was looking straight into your eyes patiently, his eagerness coming into light as his tail moved with a fast rhythm behind him. You just smiled shyly and focused on his wound. It was about the same size as yours so you knew just how much ointment to use. Your fingers traced along the wound and let the ointment touch his skin first. His lips moved under your touch as he inhaled sharply. "Ow, that does sting."

"That's what I've been telling you." He was smiling as you reached your hand out to him to spread the ointment. He leaned back into your touch, you kept your eyes on his lip, it wasn't a big cut. You figured it would barely leave a mark in a few hours. Finishing putting the first ointment on you reached for the second one, still leaving one hand on his face to hold it there. When you moved back you crept closer. This ointment was more so for healing the wound while the other lowered the swelling. You could feel his breath on your hands as you put the second ointment on. He gave a small reaction as his face contorted slightly in displeasure. You took a glance up, looking into those eyes you felt stunned. Stuck in those golden eyes, the colors were so close to you, his eyes were as sweet as honey spewing out and trapping you. You couldn't move your eyes, you were truly entranced by how he was looking at you. He didn't break the gaze, he just stared at you with an intense intention. You couldn't help but start to admire the rest of his face, those beautiful spots on his nose that led to his forehead were your favorite. They made a beautiful diamond in the middle of his face, perfectly giving you a spot to lay your eyes. You often looked there at that empty spot needing something fleeting to fill it, what it was you didn't know. But, his markings flowed pulling you in, as soon as you dipped your foot in that river you were lost in the tide. Getting swept away in every marking, a new line being spotted as your eyes were dragged along, those eyebrow markings were just waiting there as they cut off leaving your eyes to now leave the river and go along the trail. Trailing down his cheeks, those faint marks let you dip in without being pulled too far in. You could feel your left hand come up to where your eyes were, tracing the lines for a second until your eyes moved you where your other hand rested. The red from the blood was gone now leaving only a small scratch on his lip, your hand had been still the entire time. You could feel those eyes on you as you couldn't move the hand you were staring at, you could feel as though you were just being pulled in further. Or maybe it was you getting closer, you wanted to, you could feel a buzz in your body as your eye fluttered. You wanted to kiss him.

"(Y/N)?" He spoke in a low and hushed tone, you wanted him to kiss you. "Did you just purr?" Blinking rapidly you grabbed ahold of yourself as you fell back as your ears did. "What, n-no." His eyes were still half lid as he had a smile sneaking onto his face. "I think you did." Your face had never been more purple and hot. You started to sweat, what were you thinking?! What were you doing? You felt speechless as you tried opening your mouth to speak and yet nothing came out. You blinked a few more times as he gave you an endearing look. "It's nothing to be embarrassed about, it happens." You just couldn't process what was happening, or what you had been doing. "I didn't purr." Your voice came out in cracks, you didn't know what you were thinking. "Really it is okay, it's natural. You shouldn't feel ashamed." You were more ashamed about where your mind had gone, how long had you gotten lost in his face? "Whatever, who cares. Let's just finish your treatment." You reached your hand out, only needing to spread the ointment now.
