CHAPTER 5 - In his arms

Felix remembers waking up on the hard floor, a blanket lazily draped over half of his body, his head resting on a mysteriously soft surface

He remembered sitting up and feeling the world around him spin for long lasting seconds, the pounding sensation in his head not helping at all

He got up on his unsteady feet, lazily grabbing his shoes and jacket, preparing to part with the still knocked out group

Yet when he reached the front door, hand on the handle about to turn it and leave, he heard footsteps leading up to him

He turned his head back to the side of messy orange hair and a still raw and slightly puffy face, long slim fingers rubbing the closed eyelids as he emitted a soft sigh

"Hyunjin?" He called out, his voice barely even there like usual in the morning, cracking in parts of his name but atleast he got it out

Hyunjin groaned in response, keeping his eyes somewhat closed as his feet lead him to Felix, Felix's eyes widening with each step the other took to him

"What are you—"

"None of that. It's too early for words" Hyunjin finally croaked out, his voice sounding raspy and ruined but I guess that's what happens when you have a hangover in the morning

What caught the male by surprise were the sudden arms that wrapped around his waist, the nose that nuzzled into his neck, the steady breaths he felt on his skin, the body that was so so close to his own

The sudden acceleration added to his heartbeat, the numbness in his knees as the arms that locked him by his waist pulled him closer, his chest one with the other

What confused the male, but wasn't the confused that you hate but the one that makes you want more, was the warmth that spread like rapid fires in his body, across his spotted cheeks

"Hyun...jin?" He asked, returning the gesture that you'd normally call a hug but it didn't feel much like a hug to Felix, but a temptation

"Shut the fuck up" Hyunjin groaned into the shorter male's neck, and Felix could feel the vibrations of the male's warm breath in the long vein that stood proud beneath his skin

But he was surprised by the sudden harsh words. Like would someone really speak like that to their ex...nevermind

"Excuse me? Mind repeating that for me?"

Hyunjin pulled his head back with narrowed eyes in a semi annoyed glare, his hands holding onto the male's hips to keep him in place

"I told you to shut the fuck up. Want me to repeat it the third time? You're gonna wake the others up and they'll catch..." He took a break for his eyes to travell from the male's eyes down to his lips that quivered in anticipation. "Us"

Felix's breath hitched from those words, sudden questions flooding his head at that very second when Hyunjin still did not tear his gaze away from the male's lips that opened and closed in a desperate attempt to say something

"And...what does it matter if they do wake up?" Felix finally asked, taking a quick glance at the bit of the lounge that he could see, hearing and seing no moving figures to his relief

"I don't wanna see you and I together...like this"

"Then let go of me? I don't understand"

And the words that were yet to follow behind were swiftly taken away from him as his body was swiftly turned to the side, the back of his head against the wall as his back arched off of the wall due to the arms that served as a tight belt around his waist

"Nah, I'd rather stay like this for a bit" Hyunjin whispered, resting his forehead back into the male's shoulder as his steady breaths sunk into the male's skin

"Please?"

It took a few seconds for Felix's brain ro function properly once again, for his arm to drape over the male's shoulder as the other had his hand at the back of Hyunjin's head, slowly stroking his hair as he mindlessly stared at the walla across him

His muscles started to ease once again as the pounding sensation left with his steady breaths, his pounding heart and melting left behind as remains

The two stayed in that same position for a few minutes, both low key wishing that it would last for eternity but too shy to voice out their desires

It was all happy chappy cupcakes and rainbows until their heard a groan and shuffling resonate from the lounge, their body suddenly separating like nothing just happened

Felix then watched Hyunjin walked the opposite way, making his way to the kitchen without a single word or farewell gesture, even after the moment they just shared

As quick as hope and ecstasy invaded his veins as he caught a glimpse of an approaching figure, it left in a flash as that figures turned out to be short and muscular

"You're leaving without a word?" Changbin somewhat whined, something that Felix found somewhat funny and cute as he crossed his arms, making the male smile

"Didn't want to wake any of you up. Seems like you guys got a bit too wasted last night, you deserve proper rest" Felix explained, already putting his shoes on as this words mindlessly floated out of his mouth

"We were too wasted? No, you were absolutely gone. You and Hyunjin went on and on about...something I forgot but you just couldn't control the amount of shots you took and ended up passing out on my chest"

Felix stood still like a statue as he processed those words, the memories of last night's embarrassing game of never have I ever flooding into his head like a tsunami, leaving behind a drought full of embarrassment

"Shit" He mumbled, earning a light hearted chuckle from the shorter male who still had his eyes glued onto the black haired male's round doe like ones

"I should really get going though. Tell Jisung that I'll lock the door when I get back to the dorm. If he needs to come back then he might aswell just stay here because he forgot his keys on my bed"

Changbin nodded at the intake of information, making a mental note to tell Jisung exactly that but also to ask his beloved friend Chan for the younger aussie's number. "Noted"

Felix smiled. "Thank you. I guess I'll leave now, bye" He said, hand already turning the handle as Changbin waved him goodbye

He was about to leave with no thought left in his mind before he heard a somewhat distant and extremely familiar voice call out a "Bye Felix"

And that itself was a conformation that all the events that took place, the shots, the statements, the glances, the near kiss experiences and long lasting holding session really did have him

He really was in Hyunjin's arms once again in what was and felt like ages

"Bye Hyun"

I've never been so tired in my life bro. Fell asleep while taking a shit, make that make sense

Sorry for the inactivity but eyoh it'll get worse because next week is the start of the exam period for me. But I'll make an effort to drop a few chapters now and then
