New Neighbor Is A Menace

"And if I don't? " Soobin knew he wasn't going to win this, but he was willing to see how much he can save.

"Then you're a dead meat." The guy with a wolfcut who hasn't spoken much till now whispered in his ear.

Everyone went silent for a moment, and as they looked at each other's face they all burst out laughing. Soon they were literally rolling around on the ground, clutching their sides while laughing like a maniac. Their cycles long forgotten.

After five minutes or so everyone got up and helped Soobin stand up.

"Yaaah you guys have improved so much,  I almost thought you all really wanted to kill me." Soobin couldn't help but let out a chuckle filled with amazement.

The rest of group just laughed and ushered him to open his bag. As Soobin took out the trophy and 5000 won cash prize.

"Wow these stingy people really paid you just 5000 won?" The second youngest Taehyun said dejectedly.

"Seriously dude, what are we gonna buy with this little amount?" The youngest Huening kai shook his head in disbelief.

"You spent more money on this project than this stupid prize." The wolfcut guy, Beomgyu huffed in an annoyed tone.

"It is what it is, but that doesn't mean we won't party, now since our hero is broke let's treat him to a nice meal" Yeonjun the oldest of the bunch enthusiastically called out while patting Soobin on the back repeatedly.

"THE ONE WHO REACHES THERE LAST WOULD PAY FOR THE MEAL" Beomgyu called out while running away already. Huening kai and taehyun followed his suit and dashed away too, their laughter booming through the streets.

Yeonjun laughed at their silliness and was about to joke around with Soobin when Soobin too ran away at an unbelievably fast speed, leaving Yeonjun dumbfounded.

"YEONJUN LOOKS LIKE YOU'LL BE THE ONE TREATING US" Soobin gleefully yelled out to a dumbfounded Yeonjun.

"HURRY UP OLD MAN" Beomgyu called out, bringing Yeonjun out of his daze who started running too.

"YOU SLY FOXES JUST WAIT TILL I CATCH YOU"

Just as he turned the corner of the street where the snack stall is something crashed right into him, knocking the breath out of him. Fuck that hurts, but why does it burn??

Before he could do anything he heard a slew of apologies, he looked ahead to see a girl standing in front of him with a horrified look in her face, bowing to apologize to him repeatedly.

Confused by her reaction and wondering why his chest felt like it was burning he finally looked down and let out a horrified shriek. His white shirt was now drenched in what looked like tteokbokki and fish cake soup.

Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Huening kai who were sitting in the snack stall rushed out to see what all the commotion was and were surprised with the sight they were met with.

He looked up at the girl and angrily ranted at her " you.... you, look what you've done, can't you see where you're walking? Or is it your way of trying to get close to me? " He looked at her with an expression that said 'ah! i know I'm handsome enough to make people fall for me like this'

The girl who was still bowing while apologizing suddenly stopped and straightened up looking at him in pure anger and annoyance now.

"Excuse meeeee?" She dragged the 'me' out in a tone that showed just how ridiculous she found whatever Yeonjun has just said.

"I was being nice enough to apologize when you were the one who was running like a crazy bull without noticing who's coming your way. I was walking carefully, you were the one who bumped into me" By the time she was done she jabbed her finger into his chest accusingly as if to drive the point home.

"Wow I can't believe this girl, did you just call me a bull?" Yeonjun said in a high pitched voice.

"No I called you a crazy bull" She corrected him right away. They both glared at each other.

The fight was about to escalate when suddenly a bike rushed past them, almost hitting them both. Almost instinctively Soobin rushed forward and grabbed the girl to get her out of the way.

JIWOO POV

This guy was pissing me off, who does he think he is to say all this bullshit, he was the one who crashed into me and has the galls to tell at me. The AUDACITY.

Just as we were about to continue our argument I heard a distant sound of motorbike which didn't sound that distant at all. From my peripheral vision I saw how close the motorbike was. I was so shocked that I gave into my fate thinking I'll die here today, my last memory ever being arguing with this stupid guy. But suddenly I was yanked back right into the chest of someone. As I looked up into the eyes of my saviour I almost was blinded cause of the way the sun was shining right behind him.

He looked like an angel with a halo.

"Are you okay miss?" Oh even his voice sounds angelic. "Sorry about what he said, please don't take it to heart." Oh wow what a saw guy.

I shook myself out of the daze and stood up straight, thanking that guy who had just saved my life. I nodded to tell him that I'm fine cause I was still a bit shaken to form coherent words.

He smiled at me warmly and looked behind me, "Let's go"  I turned around slightly to see four guys including the rude guy walking in his direction. As they were leaving the angel guy turned around and said " See you around" While waving and giving me a sweet smile.  The other three guys too gave me a friendly smile before leaving.

The rude guy who was still standing behind me walked forward, purposefully hitting my shoulder with his and at my angry look just raised an eyebrow as if to say "what are you gonna do? "

As the group of five friends left the scene  I couldn't help but think one thing;

Why is a nice person like the angel guy friends with such a prick?

Anyways I hope that I never have to cross paths with that rude guy ever again.

As I turned back I looked the empty cup of tteokbokki and fish soup in my hand. Not only did he spill my food he also yelled at me as if it was my fault. Ughhh I hate him.
