We walked through a cornfield , no way vanya was here of all places
" you sure she's... here?" I asked
" positive" five replied awe trudged through

We made it to a certain point In the field , I saw vanya through some corn. Five gave me a little smug nod before parting the corn she hid behind
" hi vanya " he smiled
" who are you?" She asked getting up panikedly
" I'm your brother " he said, she looked to me
" I'm his boyfriend lives with you guys for certain complicated reasons " I said cringing at my explanation
" I have a brother?" She said in astonishment
" look, you can either stay here and wait for the IKEA mafia to come back to kill you, or you can come with me" five said then began walking off
" why are they trying to kill me?" She asked
" because you're not supposed to be here, none of us are" I said

We made it to a clearing she had created
" holy shit" she said

We sat down in a coffee shop. It smelt good. I haven't had coffee in a while now, so it was a nice little treat

" what do you mean the apocalypse?" Vanya asked
" I mean the end of the world as we know it."
" yeah but how?" Her voice quivered
" she doesn't remember anything five " I said " take it easy on the explanation "

" I landed in like a , back alley . Got hit by a car, my head was... ringing like crazy, I, had no idea how I got there or where I came from. " she explained, poor girl "what causes the apocalypse?"
I bit my lip and looked to five, I couldn't lie to her. He was going to have to.
" asteroid impact" he said after a moment then grabbing my hand and lightly running his thumb over my knuckles " big kaboom, ends everything. It's like the one that got the dinosaurs, except, way worse. Bad news is it followed us here. "
" what do you mean followed us?"
" vanya" I piped up " what hes saying is that, when the majority of us travelled to the sixties, so did the apocalypse. And in eight days the worlds going to end, due to a nuclear doomsday. "
" it's a different disease, but, same result " five added
" that cant be right " she said with a hopeful smile
" I saw it" said five the grip he had on my hand becoming ever so slightly tighter " with my own eyes. You were there , we all were. "
" I need to make a phone call" five tried to stop her but she was already at the phone dialing a number
" it's ok five" I re assured him resting my head on his shoulder "she will come around soon enough. We cant rush it though, and I'm aware we dont have all the time in the world, but if she was there at the nuclear war you were talking about. She clearly remembers it soon"
