Can we not disregard characters sexualities.

I'm so sick and tired of seeing romantic "lesbian x m!readers" or "gay(man) x f!readers"

An example of a CANON lesbian character whose sexuality was disregarded would be Ellie Williams from tlou. I've seen about 2(theres maybe more, wouldn't be surprised with all of the lesbianphobes out there)Ellie x m!readers out there where it was romantically/non-platonic. One(if, not both)of the authors knew she was a canon lesbian but still decided that it was "ok" to write an xm!reader for her(One of them stating they knew what her sexuality was, but their excuse was that there wasn't "enough" xm!readers for her. I wonder why😐.)and a LOT(maybe even all)of their readers were OKAY with them doing so.

I honestly wish people would leave lesbian/gay characters alone when it came to writing for the opposite sex they're not attracted to.

The ONLY time I'll accept when authors write opposite gender/sex for lesbian/gay characters is when its PLATONIC, nothing else.
