Can we please stop giving y/n characteristics(personality, height, hair color/length, eye color, etc.)and names.
Istfg, every fucking time I see an x"y/n", the author ALWAYS gives y/n a name and characteristics. Just call it what it is : an xOC book instead of xy/n.
Y/n is where the READERS can insert themselves or their ocs, not the author. Y/n is a blank canvas, no need to give them characteristics and shit.
If it's hard for you to write an xy/n, don't. Its plain and simple.
Also, if y/n has a specific gender/pronouns, make sure its known y/n ISN'T gender Neutral so you can avoid people getting mad at you.
Another thing, when y/n is embarrassed/flustered, don't say shit like "Y/n's face turned bright red", instead say something a long the lines of "Y/n felt their face heat up". Cause with some(if not, most)skin complexions/tones/color you can't tell if they're blushing/red in the face.
