Near the end of the hallway, Curi could hear multiple voices chattering excitedly.

"I wonder what Light is going to show us!" one voice exclaimed, high-pitched and energetic.

"Is it something to scare you away? Because, gosh that would be helpful," another joked, its voice loud and somewhat raspy.

Multiple speakers erupt in laughter as the first voice whined, "Oh, come on! That's so mean — why'd you have to do that!"

"Yeah, Rush. That's so rude," a bold voice agreed. "Keep going." The voice stifled its laughter.

"See? Halt knows where I'm coming from!" the voice called Rush went on.

Loud and powerful knocking arose from a nearby closet, tapping in what seemed to be Morse code.

"Hide says that you should all shut up," a fourth speaker translated — voice bold, but louder.

"And Hide is correct," Guiding agreed. Everyone in the main room immediately turned to face them.

A tall, black entity (with one eye, Curious noticed) inclined its head politely. "Ah, welcome back, Guiding."

"Stop doing that, Seek." Guiding Light laughed light-heartedly. "It's kinda weird and unnecessary. You don't need to give me any special treatment, you know?"

"I understand. My apologies, Light — I mean — Sorry." The black vessel whipped around, glaring at the voice who went by "Rush," who was laughing. "It's just a habit, okay! Shut up!"

Rush now held a gray face-like body, complete with two sable black eyes. He also had black spots scattered around his body.

"Is he okay—?" a tall, semi-translucent, shadowy figure asked.

A white-faced entity with a green-and-white glow shrugged. "Eh. He'll be fine."

Rush inhaled sharply, somewhat... suffocated himself, then continued laughing.

"Just ignore him," a cluster of eyes said. "That idiot'll calm down eventually."

Guiding Light nodded. "Yeah, you're right." They turned to Curi, who was still hidden behind their blue counterpart. "Walk behind me, and if anyone asks, ignore whatever they say," they whispered.

"All right, Light." Curious trailed behind Guiding, trying their best not to make eye contact with anyone in the crowd. They knew that no matter how hard they tried, they would still attract attention, making them even more nervous and stressed... It made Curious Light feel like they were being judged.

"I sense another spirit here..." another tall entity remarked. It had its ribs showing outside of its body — its body itself looked very... meat-like. (Curious didn't know how to describe it.) The figure seemed to have no eyes as well. "It's like... Guiding's emissions, but more... feathery and gentle?"

"Oh my gosh — Rush, shut up for a second," the green-and-white glowing being commanded. "I think GL just brought in a newcomer."

Rush ended his laughing fit. "Ambush, you slash 's-r-s' or you slash 'j?'" he asked.

"Slash 's-r-s,' dude, look," the vessel known as Ambush motioned toward Curi.

In response, Rush stared and blinked in disbelief. "Oh dang... Again? But they just..."

"They look so pretty...!" the first voice exclaimed in wonder, now owning a body half-covered in goo. Its top half looked similar to the ink-black entity, Curious observed.

"Could they be hostile?" the one that seemed to be Halt asked. He now owned a ghost-like body that was teal-blue and translucent, with bright cyan eyes.
