"Mommy, can I bring this really pretty pink thingamajigy to school please?" Gracie innocently asked. "Absolutely, sweetheart, as long as you don't do bad things with it," her mother replied, focusing more on the cat that was intertwining between her legs, seemingly begging for food. "Okey!" Gracie happily said as she walked out of the door and onto the cold, grey stone pavement. As the girl pranced onto the zebra crossing, she couldn't possibly fathom what was to come in the next few hours.
When she reached kindergarten, Gracie made sure to keep her precious, pino jewel away from the grubby, booger-stained hands of her fellow classmates. Unfortunately, she was classmates with an overly curious boy, with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. That boy was known as Long. "Hey, what's that?" He asked, pointing towards the bubblegum. "Uh, nothing....." Gracie said, quickly putting it in her pocket. However, she wasn't fast enough, and Long, knowing she was hiding something, suddenly shot his arm out to snatch her "jewel" away. Goat instinctively snatched it back, but she accidentally slapped Long's arm on his head instead of her arm.
"AAAAGHSHSHH!!!!!!!!" Long screeched, at a higher pitch than an opera singer. "MISS-MISH STEFUNNY—GOAT PUT THIS PWINK THING IN MWY HAIR!!!!!" he cried, mucus leaking out of his nose. "He tried to steal it!" Gracie pouted in response to that absolutely outrageous claim.
"Okay, kids, how about we try to resolve this in a peaceful manner," Miss Stefanie said, seeing that the argument was going to turn into a fight. "Let's do the WIPI technique that I taught you guys on Monday, okay?" She pointed to a sheet of laminated paper shoddily blue-tacked to the wall that said, 'When you do _____, it makes me feel____. Please do not do ____again or I will ____.' Upon seeing the poster, Gracie immediately retorted, "When you take my jewel away from me, it makes me feel like punching you square in the face. Do not take my jewel or I will tell everyone you are STUPID and you smell like POOP!"
Upon hearing her, Long burst into tears, his snot-nosed face crying buckets. "Gracie Lim! Do not say the S word or the P word! You are not following the class rules. Time-out for 69 minutes, now!"Miss Stefanie angrily said. "Go to the time-out corner to think about what you did wrong! Then, apologise to Long." "Pah, he desewrved it," Gracie spat as she stomped over to the time-out corner and sat down very angrily on the chair.
