Our Block (On My Block) ON HOLD

Chapter 1

"Did you find an.." Theo starts to say as Cesar gives the last beer to her but she stops when he pulls out a recess that is still in its package making her grin happily as she gives him a quick hug before pulling away and going back to her crate.

"Take it in. This is about to be us. This is high school." Cesar tells them with a smile.

They all open their beers and take a sip and the taste makes Theo spit hers out as she opens her snake and eats it wanting the taste out of her mouth.

"That tastes horrible." Theo says with her nose crunched up and her mouth filled with recess and they all nod agreeing with her.

"Ruby, Theo, you think your brother's gonna marry Angelica." Monsa asked them as they all looked over at the couple seeing them making out hard core making Theo gag.

"I hope not because if they do I will have to deal with them making out twenty four seven whenever I see them." Theo tells Monsa, making Ruby roll his eyes.

"At least you have your own room and don't have to share one with him." Ruby tells Theo who nods Theo had the smallest room in the Martinez but she didn't mind. "And no idea. Mario tells me jack." Ruby tells Monsa as Jamal chuckles as he looks over at the short twins.

"What about that time he said Angelica has a dangler?" Jamal asked Ruby as Theo gasped looking at her older brother then to her older twin brother.

"He said that?" She asked as she chuckled a little before taking another sip of her beer, not spitting it out this time.

Ruby gives Jamal a look. "But he said that." Jamal tells Ruby who glares at him.

"In private! Time and place, dude." Ruby snaps at Jamal before back at the party. "Oh, guys, check out Huerita at nine o'clock." Ruby tells them as Theo rolls her eyes not looking over but she does take a glimpse at Damian who is talking with some of his friends.

She looks back over at her friends when she feels Jamal moving, making her turn and sees him hunched over with his head in between his legs.

"Football?" Theo asked Cesar who nods, making her sigh as she walks over to her friend and rubs his back. "Just tell your parents you don't want to play Jamal." Theo tells Jamal who shakes his head she sighs knowing that he won't tell them Jamal's parents were all about football and so was Damian so that made Jamal feel like he had to be too.

"Jamal, CTE is not in your future." Cesar tells Jamal  who just keeps taking deep breaths.

"Guys, check out my game." Ruby tells them as he turns, making them all look over at him. "Huerita just gave me the nod." He tells them as he tries to act tough making Theo chuckle but her chuckle dies when one of the Santos comes from behind the wall wrapping his hand around Ruby's neck making it hard for him to breath.

Theo gasps as Cesar pulls her back a little behind him.

"Eyeing my girl, dumbass?" The Santos asked Ruby who is trying to breathe as he shakes his head.

"No. God, no. I'm not into blondes." Ruby tells him as Cesar walks forward a little.

"Easy. He does your mom's taxes. Mrs. Guzman, right?" Cesar tells the Santos making him nod as Theo looks at Monsa to see Jamal hiding behind her, almost making Theo laugh.

"Three thousand dollar refund. Schedule C, line 30, home office deduction." Ruby wheezes out as another Santos comes over and looks at Ruby before looking at the group of teenages making his eyes lock on Cesar.

"Yo, what are you doing, homie?" The second Stanos asked as he looked at Cesar. "That's Spooky's little bro, dawg." The man tells the other man making him let go of Ruby who gapes for air as Theo runs to him.
