A Moment Together

"And where are you going?" Reagan asked, a gleam in his eyes.

Arden stood behind him, arms crossed over his chest.

Sahara looked from one to the other. "Anywhere that's away from the two hormone crazed boys."

Arden's eye brows rose.

"Oh?" Reagan asked. "But aren't you going to help us?"

"Help you?"

Reagan nodded eagerly.

"With what?"

"To get our goddesses attention!"

Sahara's eyes wandered up and down the two boys and she held back a snort. "Trust me, somehow I don't think that'll be an issue."

"Not with you there," Reagan told her as he began to pull her back into the room.

Sahara went alone for a few steps until it hit her what he had said. "Wait...what? No!"

It was too late.

A few minutes later Sahara found herself standing miserably in the middle of the room. She was adorned from head to toe in sashes, pins, necklaces and bracelets; pretty much that represented Serina. On her head sat a hat just like the twins had on, only hers was pink.

"Perfect!" Reagan exclaimed.

Arden nodded and Sahara couldn't help but narrow her eyes. The twinkle in the older boy's eyes seemed to suggest that he was enjoying this way too much. Is he even a Serina fan or is he just going along for the fun of it? She couldn't help but wonder.

"Now, practice your cheer," Reagan told her.

Sahara lifted the flag she held in one hand and waved it halfheartedly. "Yay," she said flatly.

The twins exchanged looks.

"We'll work on it," Arden decided.

Reagan nodded before he bounded over to his board. "Shall we?" he asked.

Sahara's eyebrows rose as she realized his board had changed. From its surface, Serina's face stared up. It was constantly changing, smiling, battering eyelashes, and blowing kisses. There was no sign of the falcon that represented their crew.

"Um..." Sahara began.

"It can be easily changed back again," Arden told her as Reagan jumped on his board and headed for the door. "He's a nut job, isn't he?" Arden added with a grin before he grabbed his own, similarly decorated, board.

Sahara followed, somewhat unsure of how she would board with all the sashes hanging from her. However, no sooner were they outside than excitement filled her. It was nice to be doing something different than going to school and putting up with the Omega's silence.

The three headed towards the center of the city. All around them, Serina's face beamed at them from billboards and her holograms skipped around in the streets. Her perfect blond hair swept across screens and her white teeth smiled at those below. Announcements were flying from all around, all having to do with the concert.

"And the weather will be sunny today in honor of the goddess of the cities gracing us her with her presence," the weather forecaster was saying.

Sahara could only assume they were referring to Serina.

"Don't be late to the concert or you won't get a spot," another one announced.

The closer to the center of the city they got, the more people Sahara saw who were wearing costumes as ridiculous as the twins. Girls had their hair dyed and styled like Serina, guys wore wigs or hats, and all around shirts displayed her face. It seemed as though the entire city was heading to the same place, and pretty soon the area was jammed with boarders.
