He was not amused the first time he saw her.

"You're a Midgardian, are you not? Who are you?"

He was sitting on a bench on a cliff, overlooking the sky with hues of oranges and red and the sun going down seemingly going on forever. Despite being a creature of millenniums, it was rare for him to dream, especially dreams as peaceful as this. It wasn't the first time he was watching the same sun going down, but it was the first time a face emerged other than himself.

The Midgardian stopped meters away from the bench, face drawn in confusion like his. She was dressed in a long sleeved light brown turtleneck tucked into a pair of white baggy pants. She looks around, from the bench to the sun setting, to the edge of the cliff where the bottom was nearly impossible to see. Finally, she looks back at him, face perplexed in confusion and distrust.

"No, who are you? I've never seen anyone else here in my dream but me for the past 5 years."

He proceed to crinkle his nose, sharing her confusion. Surely, this Midgardian is fooling around. "Your dream? You must be messing around. You're the one in my dream."

She stared, now looking less confused but more dumbfounded. "Are you stupid?" She deadpan.

Regardless of being in a dream, his anger flared greatly, two daggers appearing in his hands. He stood up, looking at her with a glare as he plays with the weapons on his hands. "How imprudent. You dare talk with that mouth to a prince of Asgard? Know your place, a mortal like you can simply croak with a strike of my hand."

Her eyes unexpectedly widen in excitement rather than the fear he was hoping. In an instant, she was standing on the bench, barely looming over him (how small can Midgardians get to barely pass over his shoulder), totally disregarding the knives on his hands as words rapidly fires from her mouth.

"Asgard? Mortal? Are you like an alien? So there really is more lifeforms out there and not just us. WHere is this Asgard? And you're a prince? What's your planet like? How many are you there? Are there moRE?? Like, how enormous is the galaxy?? What planet are you on?? Is it far from earth?? What is it like-"

The more she asked, the more she gets closer to his personal space. It didn't take long for her to trip on nothing and her hand made contact with his arm for stability.

She didn't got to say anything more. In reality, he didn't get to hear anything more, as he open his eyes again back in his chambers. He was breathing heavily, although instead of panic from the dream, it was from being suddenly ripped away in space. It took him a moment to realize that the contact with her hand to his arm ripped him away from her, and from the whole dream in general.

He groaned. Great, it's gonna take at least another month before another dream that peaceful comes to him again.
