When you both began walking down the mountain once more towards Liyue Scaramouche walked ahead slightly to make sure there were no threats. When he confirmed there was no hillichurls or treasure hoarders he waited until you caught up so you would walk by his side rather than behind him.

It was pretty chilly considering it was late at night but you tried not to shiver, you still weren't sure if you wanted him close to you. It was a confusing feeling to love yet despise someone

"There you both are!" Childe exclaimed while climbing the hill with a sprint, slightly out of breath. "Scaramouche you can't just be pissed off and poof into nothing like that with her! I thought you were gonna kill her!"

Scaramouche still sneered at his fellow Harbinger, although he believed you he still held more hatred towards the man. After all there was no reason for Childe to pull what he did, it was infuriating

"Of course I was upset with her but I had all the more reason to be pissed off with you.... CHILDE" Scaramouche snapped and grabbed your hand to stop your walking and you hoped a fight wouldn't break out between the two

"Listen, nothing happened alright? You have every right to be upset with me but I swear to you-" Childe began but Scaramouche's eyes narrowed

"We can discuss later Ajax, for now I am to be with Y/N. Goodnight." Scaramouche stated but the "Goodnight" sounded like a threat somehow. Gently yet with some possessiveness he placed his arms around your waist and leaned down to whisper "Are you hungry?"

Nodding you leaned your head on his chest and hugged him as you closed your eyes, the bright purple color was enough to make you grit your teeth.

Childe stood dumbfounded as the two of disappeared into sparks of Electro, however he could stop his smile. He was glad it worked out between you two, but his discussion with Scaramouche later would probably be more like an interrogation. He didn't look forward to it

Before you knew it the purple was gone. Scaramouche had snickered at your reaction "You can open your eyes now you know?"

With reluctance you did and noticed you were both already inside of your apartment living room once more, Scaramouche had already pulled away and was flipping through some newspapers?

Although his back was facing you he knew what you were feeling, your confusion was strong "It's a food pamphlet I stole, are you in the mood for anything specifically?"

Hearing him ask for your opinion so much in just under a hour was weird, it was almost like he was trying too hard. Even if Scaramouche was being genuine would he continue to be this way? If you had fallen into his arms and became his again would he actually stay "loving"? Or would he become cruel and cold again as he had already achieved what he wanted?

"No, do you want anything?"
You finally answered and Scaramouche turned around to face you

"Well I would be," he started "If anything was still open. I forgot it's late."

Ah that it was, no restaurant would be open at this time.

"It's alright" you smiled "I wasn't even that hungry anyway." Well it convinced Scaramouche until your stomach growled, loudly at that.

With a stern face Scaramouche closed the pamphlet and pinched his nose, "Already lying to me? Please if we're gonna try-" he started and you quickly interrupted him
