Erling and Jude had been together for a few months, but they had never been on a proper date. So, Erling decided to surprise Jude by taking him on a picnic in a secluded field.
As they spread out the blanket and started eating their sandwiches, Erling took Jude's hand.
Erling: "Jude, I know we haven't been together for very long, but I feel like I've known you forever. You make me so happy and I can't imagine my life without you."
Jude: (smiling) "Erling, you're so sweet. I feel the same way about you. Being with you is like coming home."
Erling: "Good, because I have something for you." Erling reached into his bag and pulled out a small jewelry box. "I know it's not much, but I saw this and I thought of you."
Jude opened the box to reveal a silver bracelet with a small charm in the shape of a heart.
Jude: (tearfully) "Erling, it's lovely. Thank you."
Erling: "I'm glad you like it. I just want you to know how much you mean to me."
Jude: "I do know. And I feel the same way about you."
They shared a kiss, wrapped in each other's arms as the sun set behind them. It was a perfect moment, and they both knew that they had found something special in each other.
