Chapter 1

Lexi's pov
I was simply helping Mr Emerson since he's basically the only kinda friend I have which is wired since he's a grandpa "hey so my daughter and grandsons are moving here, maybe you can show them around" he suggested "I don't see why not, maybe I can fianlly have another Friend" I say and smiled. I hear a car coming in the distance "hey I have an idea" I say and once I tell him he's on bored, I wait and hear voices outside the door then two boys one older and one about my age walk in "um hello?" The young one says "right sam, Michael this is lexi Taylor and she lives next door" Mr Emerson says. I go to talk when a dog came over to me "awww he's so cute, what's his name?" I asked petting him "its nanook, I'm sam and this is my older brother Michael" sam says, I hear squeaking and my own hawk lands on my shoulder "wow" sam says.

Yea I have a pet hawk who I had rescued "his names merlin" I say "well that's sweet" miss Emerson says and I helped them unpack then offer to show the guys around the bordewalk while Lucy went to look for a job. There was this concert and we had a good time, as we listened to the music I see Michael looking at someone I look to see him watching this girl, I've seen her around but I hate the group of bikers I always see her with for personal reasons. He tried to follow her when she left I pulled sam away "you said you like comics, well there a store close by you should check out" I say and I bring him to frogs comics. His face lights up and we both start looking but of course both the boys who run the store check sam out since he's new, I couldn't help but feel a little jealous especially since they never pay attention to me when I've come in here. Sam looks a little uncomfortable "problem guys?" Sam asked "just scoping out your civilian wardrobe" Edagr says since I know there names from hearing them talk to eachother "pretty cool huh" sam says as he kept looking at comics "for a fashion victim" Alan says.

I couldn't help but let out a small laugh which made him look at me and small a Little bit "listen buddy if your looking for the diet frozen yogurt bar it went out of business last summer" Edgar says then sam says he's looking for a batman number 14 "that's a very serious book man" Edgar replied seeming impressed "only 5 in existence" Alan says and sam corrected him "4 actually, I'm always looking out for the other 3" he says. I had to hold on the growl that wanted to come out, sam then went on about what order the comics should be in "where are you from, krypton?" Edgar asked "phoenix actually but lucky me, we moved here" sam says and Edgar went to grab a comic then he tried giving it go sam "I don't like horror comics" sam says. I take it "well I do" I say and they all seemed surprised "you like comics?" Alan asked "well yea, why do you think you see me in here everyday?" I asked, I do like comics but is not the only reason I come in "hey!" Alan yelled as he and his brother go after someone who stole a comic.
