Chapter 56 "Challenge Accepted"

"Thank you for dropping me off this year. How did you manage to convince my Father and Dad to let you bring me to King Cross?" Harry asked and he Shadowed followed the Goblin King on the train Platform.

"Well Anthony was called back to the Americas by the one eyed squib. Your father and Uncle Thor on the other hand were suddenly called to Asgard by your Grandmother." Jareth smirked. Oh he had a little hand in that taking a page from Hela's play book. In his last letter he might have let slip that Loki was becoming overly stressed and going beyond just household cleaning and rearranging parts of Midgard. Thor was dragged along to explain why he wasn't stopping the chaos that the younger god was creating on Midgard.

"Okay, I guess that's explains why everyone was gone before I woke up this morning." Harry gave his Godfather a suspicious look.

"That is only because I had not finished with the souls in Niflheim in time to be here before you woke, Dear Nephew." Hela's voice rang out and Harry turned and ran into the open arms of the goddess. He didn't see the murderous glare she was sending to Jareth over his head.

"I have missed you this summer Aunt Hela."

"I know Haraldr but the Norns have kept me busy with request from other galaxies. Never forget that if you ever need me, I will always be here for you. Now Jareth was there a reason that you drag my nephew here so early in the morning?" The Goddess turned to her baby brother's annoying friend.

"Oh come now Princess Hela, are we not past all this animosity? I knew you would join us this morning, eventually. So being here before the mortals arrive allows us some Privacy." Jareth gave his most charming smile, but Hela wasn't buying it. Harry thought that his godfather might have a bit of a crush on his Aunt but wisely kept that to himself.

"I suppose so but Haraldr needs to be well rested. You know this year is an important year for his future."

"I do, but there is nothing wrong with taking a bit of time for family. Hedwig!" The King called to his faithful owl. The beautiful snowy white owl flew to her master carrying a velvet bag in her claws. "Thank you my lovely. Haraldr, this I gift to you for your Fourteenth year. It was crafted in Vanaheim by an old friend of mine and it takes four Midgard years to make. It is called the Eye of the Sun and as soon as you hold it will in tune to your powers and your powers alone. It will be your light even in magical darkness, and there is nothing that can eclipse its light."

"I am impressed Jareth. Haraldr open your gift it will aide you well." Hela watched as Harry took the crystal orb out of the pouch and held it in his hand. It started to glow as I absorb a bit of the boy's magic glowing brighter and brighter like he held the sun in his hand. Unlike the real sun the orb was cool to the touch and adjusted to Harry's needs so it did not blind him or his family as they stared at the small sun.

"Thank you, Godfather." Harry was in awe of the gift. He dimmed the orb back to its crystal state before tackling the Goblin king in a bone crushing hug.

"Your welcome my Boy, I know you will use it wisely."

"I," Suddenly visions flooded Harry's mind. He saw Legolas and Frodo standing near a lake and Krillan was there too, but why? He saw fire and Fili and Kili wrestling the fire near the ForbiddenForest. The visions were too much and his world went black.

"Jareth what have you done?!" Hela snarled grabbing Harry into her arms.

"I did nothing Hela; Haraldr has gotten visions from the Norns. It was so powerful that I was given a small glimpse of what he saw, because I was close to him. It has to do with his task for this year. The realms are coming to Midgard." Jareth warned gravely.
