EM waves are all transverse.
They travel at the same speed in a vacuum (empty space in space where there is no air).
The order of the EM waves in order from highest frequency are:
Gamma Rays
X-Rays
Ultraviolet radiation
Visible light
Infrared radiation
Microwaves
Radio Waves
There are many problems and uses of each EM Wave. When the frequency increases so does the energy. As a result the dangers increase.
