Garrett, with a cervical collar, snarled at me. Enoch just smiled, and I gulped.

Lecture time, I snapped a picture of their teacher going on about how they should express their feelings. Feelings allow the audience to be intrigued into their acting. I was quite intrigued by their teacher's topic as she introduced an activity called "speed dating".

Each and everyone is going to formulate a character they'll act out and pick a partner. They'll be talking in character as the "dating" lasts only ten minutes. Then, they switch clockwise and do the same. However it goes, it's the actor and actress' decision. She wanted them to go with the flow, and that seemed fine with them.

They stood up and I turned my head. I fiddled with the camera before taking another image. Noticeably, Enoch walked forward to a female student talking to her quite energetically, and I felt a bit awful. He seemed to be a nice guy, but I couldn't take any chances. After all, Maynard and I used him as a joke board. Time to time, we felt like he could be hiding his true personality, so I stuck with that assumption.

Garrett on the other hand, got his hands wrapped into his group of friends and snickered along. Classic him. I snuck a picture which he saw. He stood up from his seat, walked towards me, and snatched the camera out of my hand. I was dumbfounded and growled, but he only cheekily smirked at me.

"Taking pictures of an injured student without permission after punching him, hm Jackson?" He was flipping through my albums.

I glared at him. "Give it back!" I demanded and reached for the camera, but he moved it away from me.

"No please? Fine." He began deleting all my progress before I yanked it from his hands.

I fumed and took a deep breath. "You monster! That was for a class project!"

Everyone in the classroom paused their speed dating and stared. Enoch and his activity partner walked over as well as the teacher. Garrett shrugged with a laugh.

"What's going on here?" The teacher asked.

"Nachum was taking pictures without permission." He pointed his finger and I rolled my eyes.

"That was for the Photography class project, thank you very much." I stomped my foot and looked through the camera's album. Everything was gone and there was no cloud. What was I gonna do? Even if the theater professor sends him to detention, it doesn't make up for my lost progress. There were about twenty pictures throughout the forty-five minutes, and it disappeared thanks to Garrett.

The teacher inhaled a puff of air and told him to go to the auditorium for detention. Obviously, Professor Cronwell will always send her colleagues a post notice beforehand. I looked down at the floor upsettingly.

"Sweetie, I'm so sorry. You can continue what you were doing." Their teacher smiles at me, but I shake my head.

"It's no use. He deleted the pictures." I mumbled with a soft sob. Cronwell's gonna give me a fucking F.

"I can tell Professor Cronwell what happened. I'm sure she'll understand and exempt you from the activity today."

I tilt my head and nod. She offered me to sit down or join her first block's activity. I happily accepted the offer, but I wasn't a theater kid. I sat down and sighed. I was still upset. At least Garrett got detention, right? I rubbed both eyes with my hands and stared in front of me.

Enoch took the change to come over and offer his hand. I furrowed my eyebrows. "What?" I asked him in a harsh tone.

He frowned with a shrug, "Just wanted to offer you to speed date since I overheard Ms. Cliff. Bad timing?"

I shake my head and slump down. It's not my class, so what's the point? I'm not confident enough to do some theater kids can do. "I'm not good at acting anyways." I shrug and listen to girls giggling the heck out of themselves.

"Sorry about the photography and tick off today. Although, you can try." He grinned. His grin felt warm inside like a butterfly cracking out of a cocoon, and it made me shiver. I raised an eyebrow and groaned.

"I can, but I'm saying I don't want to."

He shrugged and let out a chuckle. He pulled out his phone yet covered his mouth. "Oh well. Do you mind if I sit next to you?"

I look at him awkwardly and roll my eyes. "No I totally don't~." I say sarcastically. He ignored the comment and sat on an empty chair right next to me. It seemed like he understood my uncomfortableness around him but still tried to make mutuality.

I glanced over for a second. I saw his eyes drop when he focused on his work. His ash brown hair shimmered and reflected the light above him. My face tensed up as it felt a bit warm. Quickly, I looked away and shut them. My throat felt a bit weird, so I sighed it out.

Something was wrong with me, but I shook it off without thought.

As time passed by, two classes were finished. I survived Mr. Bracklinn.

A/N : :0... Bracklinn's getting there. Will Nachum have a soft spot for him?
