"Don't speak to my best friend like that!" I stepped in.

He smirked stupidly like a child, "So now the MVP wants a piece of my mind too?"

"You're the one who's waiting for his face to get bloody."

He raised an eyebrow and stepped forward making my jaws clench together. He wasn't intimidating at all. His dirty shiny blonde hair covering over his blue eyes wasn't at all frightening. He thought a low shot like stepping forward could make me hesitate. I look over at Maynard who shakes his head. Right, not the best idea at all. This fucker wasn't worth a minute of my time at all. Good teammate, but a bad person. I shut my eyes and listen. All I could do was leave the scenery along with Maynard, yet Garrett's mouth wouldn't zip up.

"That's right, leave!" He exclaimed, cheering on his win, and dusting his shoulders as if he were so great and powerful. Not the Merlin thought! Oh no! I hate reading the Magic Treehouse. All those spinning and spinning repeating on one whole page bores me. If I had the whole series in my possession, I'd take many hours to recount how many times the author mentioned it in every book. I get it. It's a bad idea, but I'm saying Garrett is already a whiny Jack in my eyes. "Hope you get banged to death before you can bang your fated!"

I wanted to rip that red ring right off his finger and watch it bleed. My fists took the advantage of my glares and punched him in the throat. Hated him for mentioning something so disgusting and traumatizing to me as well as my family. Never will I ever get a fate. If it meant severe insomnia--fine, I'm a big boy. I can take it.

I saw him gasp when knuckles indented skin-to-skin. The thought of bruising his neck didn't sound too bad, yet the feeling of hitting near his bones was terrifying. Horseplay wasn't allowed in the arena obviously, and I was totally going to be exempted from practices weeks on until I learnt my lesson. I was right, and this meant that Garrett was gonna have a hard time swallowing food for a while. It seemed like a win-win to me if I were to be honest. All I wanted was to teach him to shut the fuck up when Maynard warned him, but he didn't listen. It's entirely his own fault.

"This isn't like you, Mr. Jackson."

I groaned and lowered my head. This vice principal would list down the offenses and consequences of it. Thank you, Mrs, but I don't need it. I knew what I did wrong. Although, it was clearly Garrett's karma. That man finally gets a taste of his own medicine. Can't you see?

"You know you could've killed him?" she pursed her lips and raised both eyebrows. Murder? My heart dropped. I didn't want to kill him. Yes, I knew he'd choke, but I barely placed any pressure on the punch. "Thanks to your antics, Mr. O'Bride suffers from spinal cord damage. His parents are suing the school."

Fuck. Me.

Mom's gonna kill me when she finds out! Dying at a young age wasn't part of the plan. I took in a hard swallow and slowly nodded. Every action has consequences, so I must accept mine. I told you! I'm the more refined twin. I take my responsibilities seriously. I'm not fucking kidding. You're gonna be amazed by my next words. It's hilarious.

"How will you discipline me?" I spoke.

The vice principal raised her head and smiled. It was as if she waited so long for this moment to pass by. Fictionally speaking, like a villain with the most vicious plan to get rid of someone. Knowing that the vice wasn't that kind of person, I'd take a deep breath. Her smile was pretty with that gloss of strawberry red lipstick. "I'm glad you asked." She turned her head to face the door as she gestured curling her index finger. "Come in, hon."

I grabbed the arm of the chair with both of my hands and twisted my body. The door opened silently, but it still let out a click when it unlocked. My eyes widened in surprise when I saw those luscious blue-dyed hair at the tips and golden brown colored eyes. No fucking way am I dealing with him! The vice principal beamed at his presence like a crowned prince being crowned by his mother. They're not related at all... at least I don't think so. He was like her favorite child. The favorite child is always favored in any way until they do something unexpected. She let the male stand next to her as she folded her hands again. Her eyes lowered down upon me like a tiger, switching her personality upon people. I mean, I am in trouble so...My eyes trailed over at the taller male who stood next to the desk in front of my chair. His hands were behind his back as if he were an actual prince. I rolled my eyeballs at the action. Man fuck off with your rich kid act.

"Mr. Jackson, have you met Mr. Enoch Bracklinn yet?" The vice asked, introducing us to each other. Like I had a day left in my life, I nod. Us two boys share a glare and shut our eyes by force when we break contact. "Good, this'll make our conversation worth the while."

Enoch Bracklinn, the vice's favorite student and probably well-known in the school. To me, he was a jerk and slightly narcissistic. Every single achievement was just for a show. Behind the glass pane was a two-faced bitch. He wags his tail every fucking time we'd deal with a teacher. Surprise surprise, I share half of my classes with the motherfucker. Everytime I hear that name... Enoch, Enoch, Enoch. Maynard and I share laughs and barf. Special treatment ain't getting you anywhere. There's one thing Garrett and I do share in common. He wasn't special. Neither was I no matter how many times I was labeled the "teachers' pet". That title meant nothing to me. It just means I'm a good student, and I know my way around adults. Kissing up to their asses was just another way to make your life five times better. Enoch Bracklinn was just another normal student, a good one. Everyone—well—most of the school studies decently.

Guys, let's be honest, not all schools are shitty. Most of the students study the hell out of themselves at school. When you walk the halls, that's when they don't offer hands. What do you do instead? Throw hands like I'm about to do when I leave the office. Don't actually do it though. "So, why is Enoch here?" I ask, pointing my thumb at him and letting a puff of breath escape out of habit. Scratch, scratch, scratch. Don't scratch! I saw his eyes stare down at my arm and pierce into my eczema scabs. I pull down my sleeve and take a hard swallow.

The vice principal sighs. "Mr. Bracklinn is here because he'll be someone who will help you learn your lesson." She clasped her hands together, "I want you two to be friends and help each other find your fateds which is your punishment. I know you don't like volleyball as much as you hate Mr. O'bride, so your exemption from the team is a less effective discipline."

Right where it hit the spot. I jump out of my seat and keep my mouth shut. She's right. My exemption wasn't a valuable punishment; being friends with a school board favorite will murder me. I don't want to die especially in front of narcissistic link freaks. I don't want to die, because Nels still needs me.

I turn around and storm out of the office. I hear the vice scream, "Come back!" and order Enoch after me. Vice being angry was the least of my concerns. Secondly, my mom's gonna love Enoch more than she loves me!

I hit out the doorway being grabbed by the arm. I glare into his eyes and snarl. "Let me the fuck go." I tried yanking my arm out of his grasp, but it was tighter than expected. I'm the athletic one, so why does he deserve the tighter grip?

"Not happening. Didn't you hear what she said? Everywhere you go, I have to follow. That's unless we don't share the same class." His fingers tighten around my frail-looking wrists. He was taller than I was, so it felt unmatched. Like a lion fighting a tiger. This is why I'm never playing minecraft. It takes so long to finish this one standoff.

"She never mentioned that, so let go or else I'll make you." I warned him one last time.

He just didn't listen. "Oh well. Now it's part of the deal."

I push him off and exit. I hoped he wouldn't follow me on my way out, because I'm not dealing with this shit today. With fating and befriending his ass, what else will I dora-the-explore(r)?

A/N : Wow! First chapter, am I right? Can't believe that Enoch is taller than Nachum. How's his mom gonna react, or is she not ever getting a say in this?
