in the a.m.

surprise

auston picked up adley, "ads you want to go to the beach today?"

"not for long, please. im worried about them being in the sun for too long. we were out there for awhile yesterday."

auston nodded his head, "maybe we'll take a nap, how does that sound?"

i lightly laughed, "you hate sleeping without me, so id like to see you try to take a nap."

"maybe ill cuddle with mitch." he joked.

"you're just jealous of steph & i sleeping together while you & mitch are away."

"definitely." he chuckled.

we heard the sliding glass door open and mitch & steph entered the house, "you ready?"

"yep."

i handed mattie to auston before kissing him goodbye, "have fun."

"oh we will, love ya." i smiled.

steph & i left, getting in her car.

"lets go get coffee."

"im in." i said.

after coffee went went & got mani-pedis, lunch, & shopped.

i looked at the clothes on the rack next to steph, "how do you think the guys are?"

"probably playing rock paper scissors to see who has to change the diapers." she joked, making me laugh.

"were starting potty training when we get home."

"that doesn't sound fun."

"no it doesn't but we have too. i hate they they're getting so big." i complained.

"we all do." she said back.

we left the shop and went to the next one.

we each had many bags by the end of it.

"lets go get dinner before we head home." steph suggested.

i nodded my head.

we put our bags in the car and she drove to the restaurant, she parked and we got out.

"thank you for today, i know if said it multiple times now, but i needed this." i said as we walked into the restaurant.

"we should make this a yearly thing."

"i agree."

we entered the restaurant, "reservation for matthews."

i didn't question it, auston probably made the reservation.

"right this way."

we followed the hostess, out a side door and outside, down a sidewalk and some stairs.

i looked up and saw auston and the bottom, "oh my gosh."

"enjoy your evening, love you." steph said, hugged me. "ill see you at the house tonight."

she walked away from me as i continued to walk down to auston.

the hostess moved to the side, so i could get to auston.

i was in shock and have no words, my eyes began to get teary.

"auston."

"hey baby."

he led me to a covered private patio with a table & chairs for us.

i covered my face as i cried, "why are you crying?"

"i dont know."

he pulled my hands from my face, "you shocked?"

"very. what is all of this?"
