~Y/n's pov~

After that night with Katsuki, we began to grow closer over the years. But as that time passed I began noticing Monoma trying to become closer to me as well. Now figuring out -with the help of mom- that he has been trying to court me for these past few years. But since I didn't know how to confront him about it I decided to not play into his antics. Figuring that he would get the hint sooner or later and instead decided to focus on my career to step into Recovery girl's place once she passed.

Spending more, and more time at her place learning and remembering the different mixtures, and what they do for the human body. Having little time to wander around the woods in peace, or spend as much time with my friends as I did when I first started training. But once I was off for the day I could take care of other things I wanted to do.

Like today, now heading back home to check up on mom and dad. When Monoma came up next to me with a smile. Looking up to see his freshly cut hair, short on the sides and long on top slicked back. With his jaw being shaved clean and his bright eyes looking down at me. Since he had also grown taller, hitting a few growth spurts over the past few years.

"Hello y/n, how are you today?"

"I've been good, you?"

"I've been good. But I'll admit, it hasn't been easy hunting for the village without you by my side."

I hummed, knowing that his job as an only hunter wasn't easy since I'd left. But I knew it wasn't too much for him to handle. Looking up ahead to see Izuku talking to Todoroki in front of Izuku's library. Seeing as they have grown into fine, strong men determined for different but similar paths. Remembering Izuku talk about traveling the world, knowing one day he would head out of this place and learn about the world as his dad did prior. Possibly with Todoroki following after him since their relationship had also grown strong.

Smiling at the thought of them traveling the world together. Before I was brought out of my thoughts by Monoma asking about my parents.

"Hm? Oh, they're both good, getting older but healthy. Mom has been sewing more while dad has been taking care of his shop."

"So his back is getting better?"

"Kinda but for the most part, he's just stubborn."

He hummed, running his scarred hand through his hair before growing a small grin.

"Reminds me of someone."

Turning to him, and punching his shoulder earning a chuckle from him as he rubbed his shoulder. Rolling my eyes, smiling and continued walking till I got to my parent's house, and saying goodbye to Monoma. Thanking him for the walk, and went inside. Closing the door behind me to see mom wrapped in a blanket sewing away at a piece of dark blue fabric. Seeing her look up and smile at me.

"Hey, hun."

"Hi, mom what are you working on?"

"Oh, nothing just a little surprise for you. How was your training?"

"Good, I'm getting pretty good at it now. I just have a few tricky ones to remember and then I should be ready."

"Hmm, that's wonderful to hear."

"Where's dad?"

"He's at the shop right now."

"Damn it, he should be resting."

"I know, I know. I've told him that he needs to lay off for a bit but he's as stubborn as a mule."

I agreed, going into the kitchen and grabbing an apple before sitting down on the floor next to her. Feeling the soft material of the blanket she was wearing rub against my arm as she gently rocked in her chair. Enjoying the silence between us before mom spoke.
