"Baby" a voice said interrupting our laughter
"Yes my love?" ma said smiling up at him and chuckling at the end
"You guys have been out here for three hours now and I miss you" pa said making us aww at him while glared
"You stole my wife don't make that sound"
"How adorable" Elizabeth said smiling at him
"Am I adorable?" Angelo asked appearing behind pa making Elizabeth's entire face turn pink while we cooed at her
"Aww baby" Nicollet said hugging her body as Elizabeth stuffed her face in her neck
"Let's go back inside darlings" Angelo said helping them both up and holding each of their hands before walking away teasing a blushing Elizabeth along the way. He spanked Nicollet's ass which made Gavin groan in annoyance while we chuckled when he kissed her forehead.
"He won't hurt them right?" Gavin asked as we watched them walk into the house
"To be honest with you, I don't know. As a man, I can't guarantee that he won't hurt them, intentionally or not, but as a father, I'll castrate that mother fucker if he does" pa said making me gulp
"My husband is right Gavin, even though it is unlikely, as a mother I will never forgive them if they hurt my son" ma said looking Gavin in the eyes
"They may have gone through different things but a broken heart is still a broken heart in my book, and both our children have had theirs broken. We can't tell them how to love or who to love but we can support them on the sidelines and try to protect them or guide them when they fall off track"
"You Dominic are one lucky man and you Sage are one wise young lady" Gavin said standing up with a sleeping Scarlett before handing her to her father
"I'm gonna go hit the hay, we got court tomorrow morning"
"We should all go to bed" I said then began clearing everyone's dishes before they told me they got it. Dominic and I walked into the house together and he went to go put Scarlett down. I asked him to talk when he came out of the room and he lead us to his office
"Is something wrong?" he asked after pouring us both a glass of whiskey
"Not exactly. It's uh..." I started saying but couldn't find the proper words, or words that would make me sound like a bum
"Take your time" he said making me sigh and gulp down the whole drink
"Slow down tiger"
"I... I'm happy. Physically, mentally, emotionally, and all the other -ally's out there right. I have a job that I'm not needed at cause my business partner can do everything I've been doing just as I can do everything she's doing. I have enough money to make my great-grandchildren's children live comfortably and not work a day in their lives. I'm not as smart as your daughters, I'm not as confident as Trinity nor am I as brave as Dom. What I'm getting at is that I didn't have a dad growing up and as my current father figure I want your advice on something that will change the course of my life along with my lover's lives" I said then cleared my throat. I took a glance at pa but he only nodded his head and told me to continue
"I want to be a stay-at-home dad. I want to stay up late and help my kids with their homework. I want to be at every sports event they take part in. I want to tell them just how amazing their mothers are and show them just how proud I am to be their husband" I said looking at my hands before chuckling
"I want to tell my kids how proud I am of them any chance I get"
"Have you spoken to them about this?"
"I have yes, and they're okay with it, I just wanted someone who is a father to tell me if I'm being stupid and sentimental" I said but he was quiet.
