N then kneeled down and started petting Sylveon.
N: You're a cute one!
Sylveon: [happy] VEON!
N: It would seem my friend likes your style.
Zee: Your friend?
Ash: Long story!
Pikachu: PIKACHU!
Ash: You see, N here considers every Pokémon a friend of his!
Zee: I see!
N: I've been told from time to time that I'm able to understand their inner thoughts and feelings.

N: [chuckles] [to Zee] I can see you raised your Sylveon well.
Zee: Oh! Thank you, N!
Sylveon: [being fabulous] SYLVEON!
N: [chuckles] And it even acts like you too!
That's when N noticed Ash's Lycanroc.
Lycanroc: ROC?
N: [kneels down and pets Lycanroc]
Lycanroc: [happy] ROC!
N: You're a cute one as well! I've never seen an orange Lycanroc before!
Ash: That's actually Lycanroc in its Dusk form.
Lycanroc: [rubs its rocks on N] [affectionate] LYCANROC!
N: [chuckles]
Ash: [chuckles]
Zee: [as she and Serena (Pokémon) hug his arms] That's our Ashykins for you!
Serena (Pokémon): The greatest Pokémon Trainer ever!
N: Oh? Ashykins?
Ash: Long story short, they're my girlfriends!
N: You have more than one girlfriend?
Ash: I basically have a harem!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PI!
N: Interesting! I'm happy for you, Ash!
Ash: Hey, thanks N! What brings you to Metropolis?
N: Arceus gave me word that you were here. So, I came to visit.
