She sighed in frustration; she nodded her head, then shook it; then just pointed at him.
Aaron placed his hands on her shoulders, leaning down slightly to her height, "Hey," He said softly, "You did good without me before, yeah?" As she went to dispute that claim, he only continued, "You did, ok? Just, remember not to push it too far, alright?"
She nodded, he did too. Happy with her agreement with his terms as he left to get ready for the departure.
As he left, Lisa then saw Daisy a little ways away, her eyes only on her friend as he walked. They seemed to have a small amount of anger in them; as to what it was, Lisa did not know.
Sarge did pick one, so that was at last good; that he held up his end of the deal. That one was a woman, she was a bit short for her apparent age. Her name was Snowflake. She seemed to be like a hipster but one who could kill you at any moment. As of when Aaron met her, she was obsessed with a knife, chuckling to herself as she looked at it.
"Make yourselves useful – I'll take that," Sarge started to say as he took a box like object from one of the other agents that had come with them, "No, on second thought, just stay out of our way and don't touch anything." He then addressed the two agents that Aaron didn't even know the name of.
"You two, out. We'll handle this." They did as told.
"So, are we all going to get along?" Sarge asked as the two women nodded slightly.
"You're in charge. We're just here to help." He was assured.
"Well, I know what you do. You just kind of glare all steely like that, then beat people senseless. What about you two?" He asked the two younger agents.
"I'm a hacker." Daisy answered.
"Kind of similar to her." Aaron nudged his head to May, Sarge just nodded.
"Like you hack off limbs? Chop people up." Daisy was quick to answer Snowflake's question.
"No, I hack computers. It means I know how they work." Snowflake's smile dropped at Daisy's correction.
"Oh, well that'll come in handy exactly zero times on this mission. Can you handle weapons? Good in a fight?"
"I can...handle myself." Daisy answered, trying to be as vague as possible.
"Ready to go yet?" Mack asked as he entered the truck, "You got everything you requested."
"I just need one more thing. You off my truck."
"Well, you're in charge." Mack's sarcasm seemed to have become more sassier in their time away.
"I keep hearing that, but am I? I don't want any more surprises. This missions depends on stealth –"
"We'll stay on the base, you have my word. In the meantime, we'll be on standby, ready to fly if you need us." Mack started to walk away when Sarge spoke up again.
"I won't, but," His device that he took off the agent sparked, "Dammit! This is why I need my crew. Pax is the only one who can fix this." He tried to make his case.
"Well, you picked Snowflake; now, what is that?" Mack asked.
"It's designed to keep the Shrike away. It emits a sonic pulse or something, it disrupts their equilibrium. It confuses them."
"Shrike repellent?" Daisy said in a slightly teasing voice. But, for the most part, it just held confusion.
"Call it what you want. But, without it, they'll be all over us. I need Pax."
He didn't get Pax. But, he did get a close second. That being Deke. Judging by the way he came on board – that being with angry words muttered under his breath that Aaron couldn't hear, the man wasn't all in favour of it. Something about shares in a company.
