CHAPTER 15

Karan's pov

No I can't let teju go away from me like that. I have to reach out to her. I can't live without her. Omi please kal subha ka Florida ka flight book kar. Wait for me laddoo i am coming for you

He left for Florida the very next day.
Karan was continuously trying to reach pratik but couldn't. Thankfully karan knew the address of pra's residence through teju. He bought a bouquet of roses and chocolates for her with a promise to win her over again

He reached to pratik's place and rang the bell but no response. He was waiting outside wen an old lady came and reach out to him

Old lady: they don't seem to be home son. I saw them leaving for somewhere

Karan: oh is it! It's okay. I will wait till they come

Old lady: sure. If you don't mind you can join us for a coffee. My husband is also there. I insist

Karan : it's okay aunty. But thank you

Karan was getting restless now. The old lady came with a cup of coffee and gave him. You will catch a cold son, atleast drink this. Karan thanked her for her kindness.
It was 9 in the evening when a cab finally approached . There was pra but teju was not there

Karan: pratik

Pra: karan bhai aap yaha

Karan: teju kaha ha

Pra: woh aap ko der hogayi aaney ma

Karan: matlab

Pra: matlab she left for New York

Karan: what? New  York ?par kaha

Pra: mujhe nahi pata bhai. Uss ne nahi bataya. She wants some time alone and focus on her studies

Karan: No I can't let her be alone. I will go and get her. If she wants to study further she can but i will be there with her. Ek galti ka mujhe etni bari saza nahi desakti woh

Pra: i understand your pain and she went through the same when you ignored her and hurt her these few months but it's my sincere request, please let her be. She has finally made up her mind to get over from you and focus on her own growth. I beg you

With that pra left and karan fell on his knees heart broken

It was now 3 years since teju left. Karan was still a broken mess. He had stopped attending any party related to the industry. Was only doing work which involves less time and energy. In fact he was only getting limited work due to his misbehavior on sets meaning he has become chronic alcoholic, picking fights everyday , cutting ties with his friends and family and living by himself in a apartment which looks like it has not been clean for years. He was so much grieve stricken that he has completely ignored his physique and appearance. He has grown a long beard and hair that looks gross and messy. No one in the past 3 years could influence him to clean up

Karan bhai karan bhai omi yelled. He was sleeping on the floor with whiskey and beer bottles all over the floor

Omi: you reek of alcohol

Karan: while holding his hair. Kya hai omi. Subha subha chilla kyu raha hai

Omi: aap ka ad shoot hai aaj

Karan: nahi jana

Omi: abhi waise hi kaam nahi mil raha. Agar aisa hi chalta raha toh you will loose everything. Abhi bhi time hai bhai. Sambhal ja. Please es baar toh baat manlo mera

Karan: khonay ko kya hi bacha hai aab. Omi please mujhe teju la ke doh(starts crying 😭)

Omi: bhai sambhalo aapne aap ko. You will die at this rate. Aap ko kuch hogaya toh mummy papa ka kya. They are shit worried about you. Unhe sahaare deney ki time pe aap unpe bhoj ban rahe ho

Karan: bhoj! smirks. Tere liye bhi mei bhoj hi hu na. Kitne mahiney ka salary bhi nahi diya mene tuje. Phir bhi tu mere saath hai. Chala ja tu bhi Omi

Omi: wah bhai wah. Am I just a mere manager to you jis ko aap har mahine pay karte ho! I thought we were more than that. I though we were brothers

Karan: hugs him and cries

Omi: jess ne dinner ki liye bulaya ha

Karan: patah hei. Woh bhi toh mujse 2 saal naraz tha. Banta bhi hai, uss ne muje kitni baar warn kiya

At  New York, in an old antique building with big compound there was one girl seated with a book in her hand. She has grown her hair long, her face not so chubby now, wearing a pink kurti pajama set which was completely complementing her figure.

A tall beautiful men, in his casual walk towards her and whispered

Hi girlfriend
