Smile

That grin stretches across your face,

For the best things in life, are the smallest of things,

A small wave to the man, who was having a bad day,

Or some coins, to the girl on the corner that sings,

You feel free, and happy everywhere you go,

Because someone made you happy, when you were down,

They helped you out, for no cost at all,

And now you feel the need to spread that happiness around,

Happiness, is one of life's little secrets,

You love it, you need it, but you rarely keep it,

For sadness, and and loss, is what surrounds us all,

And if the happiness is there, people ignore it,

Be happy, and rejoice that you are alive,

And if you are smiling, go make someone's day,

Because we were made to smile, made to be happy,

And your smile, it matters, your smile has a say.
