"You said you would teach me how to use and take care of my knife correct?" He nodded to you as you turned to him and started walking backward. "Just give me one more quick lesson on what I should do tonight to keep it in top condition." He smiled at you as you handed your knife to him. As you both walked back to the family Marui. He explained how to keep your knife from being affected by the elements and to keep it in its sheath whenever you weren't using it. You were close to the Marui when he wrapped up his lesson. "You'll do well to make a satchel for it." You nodded, slowing your pace as you weren't ready to head in quiet yet.

Eclipse was close and you knew Mr. and Mrs. Sully didn't let them or you out after. "(Y/N)?" He hadn't slown his pace and was a few footsteps ahead of you. "Neteyam... Thank you." You didn't remember if you had thanked him earlier, but if you did he deserved to be thanked a second time. "You're welcome (Y/N)." There was a still silence for a moment, "How did you make it?" You held your knife up again as you walked to him slowly. "I had some help." He looked bashful as he wouldn't make eye contact with you. "Tisreya helped me." Tisreya was always kind to your group, you were thankful to her for how helpful she had been. Neteyam started walking to the Marui again once you found your spot next to him, you still didn't want to go in yet but there wasn't much else to do. "I should thank her too then..." He just nodded in reply.

You were getting closer to the Marui seeing Tuk outside with her now-found brother Lo'ak. You still had to get him back for that last pinch. But you figured today wasn't the time. "Neteyam, thank you really. It's beautiful." His face brightens instantly as he hears your praise. "You don't have to keep thanking me, you would have made one eventually." You smile as you two approach the entrance of the Marui seeing the rest of the family already inside. "Well I'm glad I have one now, and it's prettier than anything I could've done." With this, you branch off from his side not giving him a moment to say another word. You made your way to where your hammock was. It was slightly separated from the rest of the family, Lo'ak's hammock was the closest to yours. From watching Lo'ak around the other Metkayina and his family you could see he didn't feel like he quite belong. As you gave him a mocking smile and a pinching motion he started doing the same back. Neither of you actually did anything to the other now as Mr. Sully was in the same vicinity. You didn't want another disapproving glower from the Na'vi who let you join his family. After everyone was ready for bed and said their goodnights to each other you all drifted off into your dreams.

"Dad, you said it was humane!" There she was and there he was. You couldn't see her but you felt her as your eyes layed on her father. "You said that you weren't hurting them!" Your face was hot and burning, your breathing was hard and you couldn't try catching your breath even if you wanted to. "(Y/N) honey this isn't anything for you to be concerned about." He spoke in a calm and undermining tone. You felt tears sprawling from your face. "I'm not concerned I'm disgusted! This- This isn't right! Your killing them dad!" You felt your body shivering as you yelled at him fiercely, why you felt so betrayed, so angry, so repulsed you didn't quite know. "They aren't people Cover girl there's nothing to be so upset about." His tone hadn't changed, not in the slightest. This just provoked you more. "But they're smarter than us! They have a conscious, they're sacred to the Na'vi!" It seemed you finally got through to him as his demeanor changed with you.

"Stop, just stop! They are just mindless whales nothing more and nothing less." He grabbed a container of yellow loose and held it up to your face. Your stomach dropped your tongue retreated to the back of your throat as nothing but nauseous and repentance filled your emotions. "This is what they give us, this is what they're here for! We need Amrita to live! Don't you want to stay like this with me sweety?" He brought his hand up to caress your face, the urge to lean in and find comfort in him was hard but you just couldn't. You saw Earth for how it was, it was a wasteland stuck forever. There was no coming back everything beautiful was gone the only things left were the greedy and twisted ambition-driven humans. "No." Your voice shook as you turned away from his hand. "Honey," he still had the container in his hand. "Come on, where's that little cover girl?" You two used to joke about how he would make you the face of his brand and now you almost were. "No, I ca- I can't do this! It's wrong." You struggled to find your words, he was all you ever knew you loved him before but right now you didn't even know who you were talking to. You stuck your hand in your pocket the item placed in there felt familiar but you didn't know what it was yet. "Look, you don't have to make the decision now, just wait and maybe you'll come around. I can bring you to my work and show you it's not that bad." He still tried to be gentle with you but you just couldn't look at him anymore. Your mind was made up in that split moment, this was wrong and you needed to do something about it. "Fine, just give me a month." His face broke into a smile and he grabbed your arms hugging you. You just let him, you didn't hug back you didn't melt into his touch you didn't even say I love you after he did. When he broke away from you he was still smiling even though you hadn't said I love you back to him. "I love you, you have to know that. I do everything for you." You still didn't say it back as he said it a second time. "I know." He gave you another quick hug before leaving. "Just remember, one month that's all you've got okay?" You nodded as he finally closed your door. Straight away you grabbed your phone from off your desk and called a number saved on your phone. Once they picked up you hastily spoke. "It's (Y/N) (L/N), I want to make a new soul drive now please."

It was the middle of the night when you woke up restlessly. Your sharp gasp rang throughout the tent as you were breathing heavily. Your mind felt like it was lost in itself, your body being lost with it. Heaving you tried catching your breath, you tried everything you had done in the past. Breathing in through your mouth and out through your nose. But you just huffed the air right back out and needed just as more keeping your breathing unsteady. You tried breathing in for four seconds, holding for four, and breathing out for four, this didn't help either as your breathing was still erratic. Not wanting to stay in your hammock due to your tossing and turning about getting tangled in the net. Shaking you got yourself out of the net and out of the Marui. You sat down in front of the Marui and tried sitting where you always did, laying back and seeing the stars again helped. You were able to catch a breath that didn't feel like you were drowning or suffocating. You stayed there for a long while just watching the starry sky. The way they stayed still and glistened kept you calm, they were right where they had always been up in the sky. They stayed still and shone brightly for you to see. You didn't know how long you had stayed there but when you wiped the tears streaming from your face you sat up finally taking in a long controlled breath. You took a deep breath through your nose, you knew your next lesson would be a big one for you and the Sully kids but you weren't tired. Tisreya said to get good rest tonight but how could you? You hadn't even thought about the dream, you had been too occupied trying to breathe. It felt like how it did before when you went out with Kiri and Tuk. You hated feeling that way, you wished you would never feel that way again. You sighed before swinging your legs in the water below you, Pandora never ceased to amaze you with its bioluminescent fauna and flora. You felt yourself starting to zone out again, maybe you did get lost in your mind more often than you thought.

"Look at who we have here," you had run into him the first time you snuck out but you hadn't seen him at night since. "A freak who seems to never need sleep." You didn't want this tonight but he was too loud for you to ignore. "You'd you be quiet. The Sullys are right in there." You whispered-shouted at him as he walked over to you. This was starting to feel very similar to how you two were that one night. "If you didn't want to wake them you should have stayed in." He didn't lower his volume instead it seemed as if he was slightly louder. "I just needed some air." He gave a pestering grin as he stood directly in front of you. "There's air in there so why don't you head back in freak." You didn't want to deal with him and he just gave you an out. "Okay." Taking the out you shrugged and started to walk in when your arm was grabbed and you were turned back around. "Don't ignore me." His voice was low as well as his volume. "I'm not, I'm doing exactly as you told me." His ears twitched down as his grip on you hardened hurting you. You just stared up at him as he looked at you. When he let go of you harshly you stumble back slightly, you just stared at him as it looked like he would grab your arm again. "Whatever." He disdainfully looked at you before walking away, he seemed to be more upset than you, not that you cared too much but as soon as he was out of sight you entered the Marui again. As soon as you did you grabbed your left arm as it throbbed. It stung as you moved it to enter your hammock again. You tried to fall back asleep the rest of the night but failed to catch even a wink until hours later.
