Chapter 9

Eren: Ah...!

Hange: So you're Eren, huh? Are you okay? Anything new?

Eren: Huh...?

Hange: Sorry to keep you waiting. But it seems you're finally getting out.

Eren: Ah...!

Hange: But you'll have to wear these.

Eren: What about Anakin?

Hange: Don't worry, he nexts. Now put these on.

Hange said as she pulled out handcuffs.  Eren is let out of the cell in handcuffs. Hange, Eren, and Mike walk down the hall. Mike sniffs Eren.

Hange: I'm Hange Zoe, a Survey Corps squad commander. He's another squad commander, Mike Zacharius.

Eren: Umm...

Hange: Oh, he has the habit of smelling people he's just met...

Mike moves away from Eren and smirks.

Mike: Ha.

Hange: ... and then smirking.

Eren: Hmm...

Hange: I don't think it has any real significance.
After all, he's good enough that they gave him a squad. Oh, sorry! Too much chit-chat. We're already here. Don't worry. It's actually better not to get any explanation in advance.

Two Military Police soldiers escort Eren.

Eren: Ah... Wait!

Hange: I know it's selfish, but we have no choice but to blindly trust you. Good luck!

Eren: Ah!

Time skip to the end of Eren trial.

Hange: Alright Anakin it your turn.

Hange said pulling out some handcuffs.

Anakin: This should be fun.

Anakin is then led out as he, Hange, and Mike walk down the hall.

Anakin: So what happened to my brother?

Hange: Don't worry he fine. He a part of us now.

Mike then leans in a sniffs him. Anakin then looked at him before look back.

Anakin: I'm not even going ask. But that will be your owning time you do that.

Two military officers then came up to Anakin as they brought him in to the courtroom. Anakin is escorted to his designated position in the room.

Soldier: Kneel here.

Anakin kneels. Another soldier puts a steel rod down over Anakin handcuffs so he can't stand. Anakin looks around nervously. Anakin sees Mikasa and Armin standing in the crowd.

Anakin (thoughts): where Eren?

Dhalis: Well then, let us begin. Anakin Yaeger, yes? You are a soldier, sworn to sacrifice your life for the public good. Is that correct?

Anakin: Yes, sir.

Dhalis: This is an exceptional situation.
This tribunal will be held under military, not civilian, law. The final decision rests entirely in my hands. Your fate will be decided here.

Anakin (thoughts): we see about that.

Dhalis: Do you have any objections?

Anakin: No, sir.

Dhalis: I appreciate your perception. I will be direct. As anticipated, concealing your existence has proved impossible. We must make your existence public in some form, or a threat to humanity other than the Titans may arise.
What I will decide today is which force will have custody of you. The Military Police? Or the Survey Corps? Then, I ask the Military Police for their proposal.

Nile: Yes, sir. I, Commander of the Military Police, Nile Dawk, will present my proposal. After a thorough investigation of Anakin's body, we believe he should be eliminated immediately. It's certainly true that his powers can help out. However, now his existence threatens to spark a civil war. So we ask him to die for humanity's sake, leaving behind all the information he can.

Anakin: pigs

Nile: What was that!

Anakin then looks at Nile with a small smile.

Anakin: I said, "I don't need him, he can join the Survey Crops, that is all."

Nile: I don't need him, he can join the Survey Crops, That is all Dhalis.

Dhalis: Okay? Commander Erwin do you want Anakin?

Dhalis (thoughts): What the fuck just happen?

Erwin:  I, 13th Commander of the Survey Corps, Erwin Smith, will present my proposal. We would welcome Anakin as an official member of our forces, and use his powers to retake Wall Maria. That is all.

Dhalis: Okay? Do you have anything Nile.

Nile: No he can join the Survey Crops.

Dhalis: Okay. Anakin Yeager will be joining the Survey Crops. That is all for today.

Anakin is then let out as he walks into a room where he sees Eren.

Anakin: Hey Eren, you look like shit.

Eren then looks up as he sees Anakin with no harm.

Eren: How the hell... you did what I think you did.

Anakin smiled.

Anakin: I don't know what you're talking about.

Eren: Jezz Anakin.

Erwin, Levi, and Hange then walk into the room, as Levi went and took a set next to Eren. 

Erwin: So that was a lot easier then Eren's.

Erwin then made his way towards Anakin.

Erwin: Anakin, welcome to the Survey Crops.

Erwin bring his hand up for a handshake.

Anakin: Nice to be here.

Anakin shakes his hand as Hange came up to him.

Hange: So... how did you do that?

Anakin: Do what?

Hange: How did you get Nile to let you join us?

Erwin: I would also like to know.

Anakin: Will I mine trick him.

Hange: Huh?

Eren: he use the force.

Everyone turns to Eren.

Eren: Don't look at me I don't have it. Look at him.

Anakin: He right.

They then turn back to Anakin.

Erwin: The force?

Anakin: The force what gives me by powers. It's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It binds the galaxy together.

Hange: Wow.

Levi: What about the dark armor you were wearing when we found you?

Anakin: When the time came I tell all of you. But for now I tell you it only comes out when I'm angry. Also Erwin, during graduation I was promised my own squad. Do I still get that?

Erwin: Sadly no. Do to what happened you will be put into a different squad. But luckily you will be with your brother in Levi squad.

Anakin: That sucks, but at least I'm with my brother to make sure nothing happens to him.

Eren: I would tell you to stop worrying about me and all like Mikasa, but knowing what happened to you I under stand, and I don't want to be on your bad side.

Anakin: Thanks brother.

Erwin: Alright. You all move out tomorrow to the old Scout HQ.

Everyone: Yes, sir.
