What's your average bedtime? by Yeahidonthavethink
These days, I try to go to asleep around 10pm. Maximum time I stay up is until 11pm and that is if I have some major work to do that I cannot put up until tomorrow.
A few years back, I used to go to sleep extremely late as a result of my late night study sessions. As I remember, the latest I would stay up till was around 3am those days and the not so best part is that I had to wake up around 5am to start the day :') So, yeah not such a healthy sleep routine. That's exactly the reason why my parents decided one day that they have had absolutely enough of their daughter being like one of those zombies from Train to Busan, so they basically put down the foot and forced me to go to sleep at 10pm no matter what it is that I have to do that night.
At first I was pretty rebellious about that decision because I felt like it would mess with my schedule and that it would result in a bundle of more work piling up if I weren't able to finish it up before 10pm so I would have to carry it forward to the next day and I'd have to do them along with the next day's work. It doesn't help much when your girl is also the queen of procrastination. (Hmm...maybe that's the reason why I actually tend to do work late at night in the first place)
However, overtime as I started to reluctantly include it in my routine, I realized that going to sleep early is actually good for me. I'd be a lot more energized the next day with a very peaceful mind even if I have work to do. Plus, it made me feel a whole lot more bubblier. I never even realized just how cranky I could be when I'm sleep deprived.
All in all, I felt a huge difference in me compared to how I'd feel after doing late nights and without them. At first, I couldn't even believe that something as simple as going to sleep early can make such a significant impact on my productivity
Therefore, one of the best advices I could ever give y'all is to have an effective sleep schedule regarding the time you go to bed and also the time you wake up. It may sound like such a vague thing to do but staying up all night, straining yourselves and then facing the next day with death giving you a backhug is not so worth it if you actually think about it. Your happiness and your refreshed mind must come first before anything.
