"Me and Robby's relationship has nothing to do with you, Hawk." Maya spat, trying to make it sound as bitter as possible. If she was being honest, she wanted Hawk to stop liking her, just so she could have a reason to squash the tiny feelings for him that she still had.

"I know it doesn't, but that's not what I meant, Maya. How did you move on so quickly, why did you move on so quickly?" Maya didn't answer. "What does Robby do that I don't?" Hawk asked, just as he parked.

"Honesty. He gives me honesty." Maya climbed out of his car, Hawk watched as she went inside her house.

Everyone around Maya started noticing how much she changed. Her attitude changed, her demeanor changed, and the bright colors she used to wear turned to just red, yellow, or black. When Maya was at home, they hardly saw her anymore, and when anyone tried to talk to her, her responses were filled with snarky remarks and attitude. Many times Carmen would tell Maya that she didn't like her attitude and Maya would say any of three things.

"I don't like your attitude." Or "I don't care." or "Cool.", Carmen tried getting Johnny to pry at her but Maya wouldn't talk and her therapist couldn't break confidentiality unless Maya was going to harm herself or others.

They were lost. None of them knew how to help Maya. Robby seemed to think she was okay, but everyone else wanted the old Maya back and they knew that deep inside this Maya was just hurt and Maya was tired of hurting.

"Maybe you should give Hawk a chance, I mean Robby did hurt your brother." Moon fixed her backpack strap on her shoulder. Yasmine stopped to talk to Demetri, Maya grimaced as she heard their weird conversation. Maya felt Moon tap her arm, Moon pointed slightly in Hawk's direction. His hair. She had no clue he was going to change the color, and at that to purple.

"I like the new color, purple's much better than red." Maya smiled, and Hawk did as well. Maya loved purple, most of her clothes were purple.

"Thanks, the only color better than red is purple. Obviously." Maya giggled, Moon, pulled Maya away to their next class.

"I got a one hundred on my English and Math test, but I could've sworn I failed the math one." Robby chuckled.

"Your smart, you probably ace every test." Robby wasn't wrong, Maya had all A's all of her life. Maya listened to Robby's heartbeat as her head lay on his chest, a comfortable silence filling the room. Her eyes started to droop when she heard Robby's phone ping. His thumb drew circles on Maya's arm as he texted Kyler back, Maya wasn't paying attention to who he was texting. Or what he was texting. "Maya."

"Hmm?" Her head slowly rose, and Robby could see how tired she was. She hadn't been getting a lot of sleep recently.

"I gotta go." Maya sat up quickly as Robby pulled on his shoes.

"Why?" Maya whined, whenever she was around Robby she could easily fall asleep. When she wasn't, she had restless and almost sleepless nights.

"I gotta do something with Cobra Kai." Maya raised her eyebrow.

"Why can't I come? I'm in Cobra Kai." Robby chuckled, quickly trying to come up with a cover story.

"We're doing something, for someone you know, and if you knew what we were doing then you'd tell them." Maya thought for a moment.

"Like a surprise party?" Robby shrugged which made Maya groan in frustration. "C'mon, I'll make sure Miggy's not out there." Maya grabbed Robby's hand, slowly opening the door, and looking around. When she saw no one was there, she quickly walked Robby to the front door.

"I'll come see you later tonight, okay?" Maya smiled and nodded as Robby pressed his lips against Maya's. He quickly fell in love with Maya's cherry chapstick that she always wore.

As Maya went back to her room, hoping to get some sleep, Miguel stopped her and told her all about Johnny and Daniel's big Sensei fight they were going to have that night. Miguel was going to go, which meant Maya had to go as well. She was so tired, almost too tired to watch the whole thing, but it didn't matter, because no one could decide who won the match.

"There's no other angle, Johnny." Maya gave Johnny a look as he asked to see another angle.

"Hawk?" Miguel asked, which caused Maya to look up. Hawks's cheeks were blotchy and pink and the tip of his nose was pink as well, Maya could tell he'd been crying.

"Shit. Eli, what happened?" Demetri asked, Hawk, grabbed his hood and pulled it down. His mohawk was gone, and it looked as if it wasn't by choice. Maya, along with others, slowly walked towards him.

"Who did this?" Johnny asked, Maya, watched as Hawk looked straight into her eyes.

"Cobra Kai." Maya froze, feeling Miguel's eyes on her but not being able to look away from Hawk.

We're doing something, for someone you know, and if you knew what we were doing then you'd tell them.

It suddenly made sense. Maya tapped Miguel's arm, getting his attention.

"I need my keys." Miguel handed them to her, wondering what she was doing, Maya walked up to Hawk and hugged him. Hawk quickly wrapped his arms around Maya's waist and Maya felt a teardrop in her neck. "I'll be right back," Maya whispered, letting go of Hawk.

Maya reached the Cobra Kai dojo, she knew Robby would be there. She walked inside quickly, seeing Tory and Kyler there as well.

"What the hell's wrong with you?!" Robby furrowed his eyebrows as Maya shoved him.

"What?"

"We're doing something, for someone you know, and if you knew what we were doing then you'd tell them, bullshit? Did you really think I wouldn't find out?!" Robby's face fell, he did think she'd find out but not this soon.

"He's a traitor, Maya, we had to get back at him." Maya scoffed.

"Miyagi Do never got back at you for making them close down, did they? I didn't get back at you for almost killing my brother, did I?!" Robby glanced away.

"He was an ass to you!" Maya gritted her teeth.

"Hawk is my friend. Hawk's important to me, Miguel's most important but Hawk's only second to him. No one else." Robby stayed silent as she stared at him. "I'll be there for Kenny, I'll help train Kenny, but not here and not with you." Maya spun on her heel and left, Robby followed quickly behind her.

"Maya, wait, please." Robby pleaded, and Maya spun around.

"We're over, Robby. I trusted you! I thought you were different, but no! You're just like everyone else! And you can tell Kreese I quit Cobra Kai too!" Maya climbed into her car and sped away.

~

That night, Maya blocked Robby from everything and fell asleep on FaceTime with Hawk. He said it would be the only way he could sleep, and Maya agreed almost immediately. Robby regretted it deeply, but he couldn't even apologize to her. She'd blocked him, Robby never thought that the kiss he'd given Maya would be their last, he'd thought they'd have a million more, but they wouldn't. At least not anymore.
