Ghost(ronin deku)

A Ghost

The year was 1274, and the war between the Japanese people and invaders from Mongolia had been raging on for three years leaving death and destruction

Hope was dead, willpower was crushed. Japan was seemingly doomed until the first sighting of the ghost of Mustafa was reported nationwide. One man had slain over 50 men without receiving a single cut, bruise, or puncture, the man was a Ghost in the eyes of the people but a Demon to the Mongols and criminals

A young aspiring samurai by the name of shoto todoroki was sent to find this Ghost, he set off to find this ghost with his superior/mentor Ren Endo an aged bitter man who has seen blood paint the grass more times than he's seen the sunrise. While traveling on horseback the two stop at a shrine being visited by many "what are they doing? It is so wide open they could get attacked" "fools. All of them, believe that the Gods will save them from the Mongols. Pfft" Ren shrugs off the people and continues riding

Shoto reluctantly follows his commander to a village just outside of Edo(Tokyo for those who don't know) which had been the last sighting of the ghost in a week, the two samurai dismount their horses and gain the attention of the locals and one walks up to them and bows her head "lord endo we welcome you to our humble village" "I have heard reports of a so-called ghost appearing in this very village" Ren says not interested in the greeting "ah yes. Late one night Mongols attacked, they tried to set our homes ablaze but just as they lit their torches the blaze was gone and their heads rolled in the ground" the woman reported

Ren seems shocked at the news "can you describe the warrior who saved your village" shoto asks "he stood 1.83 meters, his hair was as green as the grass, his eyes were as shiny as emeralds, he had freckles on both cheeks sets of four. His armor was painted grey and black with gold on his mask, and he carried a blade that shined with the blood of his enemies" the woman's description of the man sends a chill up ren's spine and made him sweat like he's been baking in the sun

Shoto sees his superior turn as white as the snow and retreats to his horse after stumbling, shoto helps him stay up then he sits ren down "sir are you ok" shoto asks handing ren a flask of water which he chugs like a thirsty horse "why did it have to be him. Oh Gods have mercy" ren said holding his head "sir who are you talking about" shoto gets yanked down by ren and the horror in his eyes made shoto's blood run cold "the man described is no bandit or Mongol turned to the side of mercy. The man is death himself. Izuku midoriya" at the mention of the name shoto went stark-white and almost fainted

One week later

Two men were riding their horses quickly to escape a Mongol patrol but their horses were shot dead with arrows sending the mem to the ground "what do we have here? Heroes ey? Hahaha, I'm gonna have some fun" The leader said as he raised his weapon, they hear a soft and calm whistle with the sound of arrows flying through the air as one flies into the skull of the shield-men. The others turn in the direction of the arrows leading the spear-man to get shot in the eye and killed instantly

The Mongols look in the distance to see a man standing with a bow in hand clad in dark armor standing in front of the descending sun, they all charge at him but he grabs two arrows and fires at once sending one arrow clashing with the chest armor of the leader but the second one hits the leader in the shoulder causing immense amounts of pain. The man cast in the sunlight puts his bow on his back and draws his katana which reflected the light of the sun into the eyes of the Mongols he struck quickly and as the sun finally set the grass and steel of the katana were painted in blood

The man turns to the men and discards his armor, walking up to them "how much for my armor" the men are confused "p-pardon" "how much can I sell this for"

After a couple of hours, the man leaves wearing a black and green hakama and a bamboo hat with a rather large sum of money. The men turn to the warrior "what is your name brave warrior" the man turns and his eyes shine their bright green "call me Deku"
