Third Person POV

Blood spilt on once clean earth as the fearsome battle continued to rage on.

Neither clans were ever willing to let the other get the upper hand as screams of pain and agony could be heard throughout different parts of the battlefield.

Uchiha Akira let out a tired sigh as she dodged the attack of an incoming Senju, countering his sword slash with hers before effectively disarming him and kneeing him in the abdomen as the Senju groaned out in pain.

Akira forced the Senju's eyes upon hers, whilst his guard was still down, trapping him with her spinning Sharingan as he soon collapsed – unconscious.

Akira's eyes throbbed in pain soon after, the effect of overusing her eyes as this was the 20th genjutsu she's had to cast in this battle alone.

Her grip tightened on her katana that was thankfully, still spared of any blood, as she deactivated her visual prowess in favor of relying on her senses instead.

She was quick to whip around and stand on guard again as a familiar albino male landed in front of her, his cutting red eyes staring into her own.

"Akira," Tobirama greeted as Akira sent a small nod his way. His eyes travelled downwards before coming to rest on her silver katana that gleamed in the sunlight. "How much longer do you think you can go without taking someone's life? The battlefield isn't a game."

Akira's grip subtly tightened around her katana at those words, yet her eyes did not betray her inner turmoil as she continued to regard him calmly. "You know better than anyone why I refuse to kill, Tobi." she quipped as the said man let out a sigh before charging at her.

"Your kindness will get you killed someday." he snapped as he continued with his barrage of attacks, which were easily deflected by Akira as she maintained a defensive stance, choosing not to attack.

The fact wasn't lost on Tobirama, who gritted his teeth as their sword came together once more, each side pushing just enough so that the other wouldn't get the upper hand as Tobirama stared into her obsidian eyes without fear, knowing she'd never use her clan's feared dojutsu on him.

"Kira!" he snapped as her eyes shot up to meet his own, startled at the use of her nickname and at the anger reflecting within those red hues as he continued. "We aren't children anymore. And whilst I appreciate the fact that you've spared my clansmen's life, many others already know of your weakness! How long will it be until someone decides to exploit it? I can guarantee that no one would hesitate to strike you down, given the opportunity." he snapped harshly, trying to get his childhood friend to see reason, when a fireball attack suddenly came hurtling towards Tobirama, forcing him back as he glared at the newcomer who had intruded upon them.

Akira let out a sigh when she saw who it was, knowing that things could turn ugly very fast if these two were to clash.

"Izu-nii," she called out, stepping forward to stand beside him as his arm shot out, holding her back.

"I've got it from here Akira! This slippery bastard tried to run away from our battle just now. I had to cut down a plethora of idiotic Senju just to reach him! How annoying," Izuna complained as he activated his Sharingan, directing his gaze towards Tobirama, who was quick to stare downwards, avoiding Izuna's eyes.

"I was handling myself just fine before you got here, nii-san." she stated, frowning as she felt the murderous intent leaking from his rigid form as he continued to stare at Tobirama.

"I'll be sure to give you a slow and painful death, Tobirama Senju!" Izuna spat as Tobirama merely ignored him, waiting for the Uchiha to make the first move.

However, before either party could react, a loud horn was heard from the other side of the battlefield as Akira's fellow clansmen yelled at the others to retreat. Izuna's scowl deepened when he heard this as he deactivated his Sharingan, his eyes never leaving Tobirama.

"You got lucky Senju," he scoffed as he turned, nodding at Akira, who only stared in turn. "Let's go imouto. We'll have to reconvene with Madara-nii to know what's going on."

Akira gave a small nod, saying she won't be far behind as Izuna left, going to find their eldest brother. She turned back to look at her childhood friend, who was staring at her solemnly as she gave him a small smile.

"You know it's just how I am Tobi-kun, I can't really change that. Besides, I have enough confidence in myself to know I won't go down that easily," she shrugged as she turned, getting ready to head towards her brothers as she threw a final parting message at the Senju.

"And you know, you could've just said you were worried about me!" she teased before leaving.

Tobirama Senju let out a long sigh as his free hand that wasn't holding onto this sword went to nurse his growing headache at his naïve childhood friend, whilst at the same time, the tiniest of blushes began to form on his pale skin.

"Damn it Kira....."
