^^Chapter 5^^

It was the weekend. A break for both Molly and Libby! Molly had invited her to hangout in the park!

(Yes it is the same park from chapter 1)

Molly was eating an ice cream cone waiting for Libby. Right then and there she heard Libby calling out for her.

"Molly!" Libby said, catching her breath. "Libby! Hi!" Molly squealed excitingly. "Sooo, do you want to like, walk around the park?" Libby asked her and chuckled. "Of course." Molly said.

They were walking around the park, when Libby thought about telling her that she liked her. Libby just couldn't hold back her feelings anymore. For more than a year she had ignored her feelings, buried them deep inside her. The thing was, Libby was scared. What if she didn't like her back? That would ruin their friendship and it would never be the same.

"Hey Molly?" Libby blushed. "Yeah?"

Suddenly her anxieties hit her. What if it goes wrong?

"Never mind." "Okay.. Well anyway, I'm still mad at Oliver, and I'm not forgiving him anytime soon." Molly put her hands into a fist. "Nobody talks about my bestie like that!" She does a superhero pose.

Libby does her normal giggle and smiles. That gave Molly butterflies.

"Okay.." Molly chuckles nervously. "Wanna go get some ice cream?" "Sure, Molly." Molly grabs Libby's hand and runs for the ice cream truck. Libby becomes flustered and turns red.

Molly gets the exclusive everything cone, and Libby gets mint chocolate chip. They walk around the park eating their ice cream.

While they were walking, Libby looked at Molly. She was really cute. And when Molly held her hand, her skin was so soft, Libby could hold it until she died. "Molly, I just want you to know;" Libby paused for a second and then gave Molly a small kiss on the cheek.

Molly looked at her in awe. Libby brought her hands to her cheeks and thought 'What did I just do?' "I am so sorry!" Libby exclaimed. She turned bright red as she ran away.

"Libby!" Molly called out for her. Libby didn't stop running until Molly couldn't see her anymore.

"Libby.." Molly put her hand in the air.

Scratch then appeared out of thin air. "Where's Libby?" He had his face stuffed with food as usual. Molly turned bright red as she thought about what happened. "Uhm.. Libby kind of.. kind.. of.." "What did you do this time?"

"No! It's not like that! She kissed me on the cheek.. and then sorta ran away?" "What? I thought you liked her?" "I know! She just, ran away before I could say anything." "You've got to make things right. You are her best friend after all." "Right now I am!" Molly winked. "I hate teenagers." Scratch groaned.

Meanwhile, Libby was walking home. She didn't know what to do. Molly hadn't done anything wrong, it's just, actually, she didn't know.

It was just then when Libby heard a notification from her phone. She took it out of her pocket. When she saw it was from Molly, she was afraid to open it. Even look at what it said from just looking at the front of her phone.

Libby reluctantly opened it to see Molly had just said this:

"Please come meet me at the park/the same one we were just at??????"

Libby thought it was too many question marks, but she texted her back:

"Okay, and I'm sorry. Don't respond to this text because I'm on my way."

She didn't want to come because she was obviously embarrassed that she did that. It was stupid of her. She started walking towards the park.

"Scratch, she's coming!! Eeeeeee!!!" Molly squealed to her best ghost friend. "Yeah, okay. Bye." Scratch disappeared into the darkness 🤓 (be scared/j).

When Molly saw Libby on the other side of the park, she ran over to her and waved, with the red roses in her hand.

"Libby!" Molly was out of breath. "I got these for you. This time their not yellow, their red! And that means..." Molly scrolled on google on her phone(#smooth). "Love and Passion! I love you Libby, and will you be my girlfriend?"

Libby just stood there astonished. The thought of Molly liking her back made her ... feel the opposite of depression.

"Yes! Yes! Yes!" Libby ran up to hug Molly. Then she kissed Molly. At first Molly had wide eyes, then she kissed her back. It was a magical moment.

Once they pulled apart, Libby said, "Molly, I love you too. You have no idea how long I have." "Wait, how long?" "About a.." Libby counted on her fingers. "Actually, more than a year. Since Howlin Harriet."

"Oh Libby!" Molly pulled Libby into a hug where Libby finally, hugged her back.
