The Unsaid | Part 1 -Khyla's P.O.V.

Minsan sa buhay natin, di natin pwedeng ipilit ang mga bagay na hindi para satin. We're only hurting ourselves by expecting other people to do what we wanted them to do, lalo na pag hindi nila kayang gawin yung bagay na gusto natin.

"Ate!" tawag sakin ng bunso kong kapatid na si Lauren habang nakatambay ako sa may balcony namin. "Anong ginagawa mo diyan?" she asked.

"Wala, why? Do you need something?" I asked.

"Anong ulam ate? What time ka magluto?" she asked back, and I smiled tapos inakbayan ko siya at bumaba na kami.

I am the oldest amongst the three, my parents were out of town every 4 days for work, pero yung mom ko, umuuwi lang siya sa weekend dahil nagdodouble job siya hanggang sa makapag tapos kaming tatlo. Lauren is the youngest, and Denver is the middle child. Den is 14, so I don't have any problem to take care of him dahil may mga sariling desisyon na din siya, but Lauren is not. She's 7 and still needs me for everything. Dahil wala ang parents namin, ako na yung parang tumatayong pangalawang magulang nila for 10 years now. Yes, I've been taking care of Denver since I was 10.

I went to Den's room, and asked him if he wanted to help us sa kitchen dahil yun lang yung time namin together bukod sa pag tulong sakanya ng homework.

"Ate Khy, I'm playing with my friends!" Reklamo niya, then binalik niya yung headphones niya. I didn't say anything cause I know that's the only free time he have, so I'll give it to him. At isa pa, I know he can't--

"I knew he can't ignore you, ate." asar ni Lauren, then I laughed. They helped me sa pagluto at pagset ng table. It's Thursday today, so we are expectig Dad to come home.

If you guys wonder, I don't work, dahil kailangan kong alagaan sila Lauren. But I do study online, 4th year College, BS Nursing. I am planning to work soon sana sa may fast food resto, kaso hindi kaya ng puso kong mapagod.

"Ate? Kamusta na pala si kuya Gab?" Lauren asked, then napatigil ako sa ginagawa ko. Gabriel is my ex boyfriend. We were dating since Lauren is 2 or 3 years old. Kasama ko si Gab sa pag-aalaga kay Lauren at Den, but then we broke up last month. Denver knows everything about it, but I never mentioned it to Lauren, dahil alam kong sobrang close na nilang dalawa, and when I tell about it, I know she'll be upset, pero I think its time to let her know about it.

"Baby, Gab and I br--" 

"Mom! Dad!" Denver interrupted when he saw mom and dad entered the house. I never got a chance to answer Lauren, pero its a good thing to segway from the conversation. Niyakap ko na sila mommy, then I helped them sa mga dala nilang gamit.

"Mom? You came home early." I wondered, dahil di sila usually nagsasabay umuwi.

"Oh, yes anak, umalis na kasi ako sa isa kong trabaho." she answered.

"But why?" Den asked, then she looked at my dad.

"Cause I got a promotion!" Said dad excitingly. Then we all celebrated. Kumain na kaming lahat sa table ng sabay-sabay habang nagkwe-kwentuhan.

Kinabukasan, I woke up early as usual. I made coffee and tumambay na ako sa may usual spot ko. I'm not going to take care of Lauren and Denver today, kumbaga 'Day off' ko ngayon sakanila. 

"Anak? Why are you up so early?" My dad asked

"Pa! I should be asking you that." I said, then I offered a chair.

"May iniisip ka ba?" he asked.

"No, I'm just used of waking up early." I answered.

"Eh kamusta naman ang puso?" He asked, and I looked at him.

"Kinakaya pa." I smiled.

"Alam na nang bunso?" He asked, dahil alam niyang hindi ko pa kayang sabihin sakanya.

"Di ko masabi pa." I looked away. "Di ko alam kung magagalit ba siya sakin o hindi. Kasalanan ko pa man din bakit kami naghiwalay ni Gab." I added, then drink some of my coffee and looked at him.

"Alam mo bang ikaw din ang mahihirapan niyan? Kung sakali?" He looked at me, and I sighed. I don't want to deal with it right now, tsaka I could never stand living in the house knowing Lauren is mad at me if ever I say it to her. 

"I'm going to mall." Sabi ko then tumayo na ako.

"Why?" dad asked.

"Groceries, and I'm going to get something for my projects." I answered while going to my room. 

Before living, dad gave me money for groceries, dahil para sa lahat naman yung bibilhin ko, he also lend me money for my project.

Pagdating ko sa Mall, I went to get snacks muna, then proceed to meat section. When I was in cashier, someone called my name far away, I'm too busy to put stuff on the plastic bags, so I don't have time to look up, not until the lady approached me.

"Khyla?" I looked up, and saw Gab's mom.

"Omg! Tita Jackie!" I said awkwardly. We never talked ever since Gab and I broke up, I was not ready to see her randomly here, especially when she's with Gab. I looked around, but Gab isn't there, so I hugged tita Jackie. Nagkamustahan kami hanggang sa matapos din siya magbayad. I asked her if she's alone, but she said Gab just went somewhere, so I planned to separate ways at the door, but then I saw Gab, waiting there, wearing shorts, and t-shirt, I never saw him go to the mall with that outfit dahil sobrang galing pumorma non, but he looked so different when I saw him.

"Khyla?!" He said surprisingly.
