Birthday tears

It was your 16th birthday but you were at camp
It was so boring but at least you were with your friends Cindy tommy Alice nick ziggy and kurt
Kurt is your boyfriend you have been dating for about 1 year it was a toxic relationship but he tried and you tried but you just wanted to give up at this point but you still loved him and he still loved you

You were in your cabin and you heard a knock on the door you opened it and it was your friends "hey" you said kindly "hi" they all said
They walked in as you sat on your bed
Kurt sat next to you he handed you a note and walked out but your other friends stayed
"Open it" cindy said you opened the note it said
"To Yn happy birthday I'm sorry to have to do this on your birthday but -
You stopped reading for a moment knowing what it was gonna say you continued
"But we need to break up we are in a toxic relationship and I can't do it anymore your toxic . Once again happy birthday Yn and I'm sorry I had to do this today .

You couldn't speak you wanted to scream you couldn't whimper just silent tears rolled down your gorgeous face making your mascara smudge "what did it say Yn" Alice says snatching the note from you she reads it and says "what a fucking piece of shit I'm gonna fucking kill him" you just cry your little heart out nick sits next to you and puts his arms around you pulling you into his chest .
Cindy reads the note as does everyone else
"What type of sick fuck does that to someone on their birthday" Cindy says
"Cindy did you just swear" Ziggy asks "yes I did Ziggy it's becoming a habit" Cindy replies
Nick gets up form holding me close and I whimper more at the loss of touch he whispers to me "don't worry baby doll I'm gonna deal with him" he smirks looking a little pissed
"K handsome" you whisper to nick
You just immediately kiss Nick he kisses back
Everyone just watching wondering wtf just happened you stop kissing and look at everyone and sit back down nick walks out of the cabin to go deal with Kurt . "Yn what tf was that" Ziggy asks "a kiss" you say "well no shit"
Alice says "why did you kiss him" tommy says
"Because I needed to and it felt right and I know that I just broke up with Kurt but I needed that mine and Kurt's relationship was toxic anyways yes I loved him but not enough to live and unhappy life" you say "so you love nick?" Alice asks "ye I think I do he is kind sweet he doesn't treat me badly he doesn't hit me he doesn't do anything to hurt me he just cares for me and is always there for me"
"Aw wait kurt used to hit you?" Cindy asks
"Um ye that's why I have all this bruises on my arms and throat" you say
"So what are all the cuts and scared from?" Ziggy asks
You hitch a deep breath and say " self harm"

You see Nick standing at the door and listening to the conversation your eyes meet with his
He walks in and sits next to you
"I sorted out kurt" he says chuckling a little
He pulls you into a hug and kisses you once again "we won't have anymore birthday tears clear" Cindy says "loud and clear mam" you say giggling . You sit in nicks arms for a while with your friends in the cabin and he whispers "Yn I love you" you whisper back " I love you too" you start to make out for a minute or two and then you stop when you realise everyone is still in the same cabin as you "so are you guys dating or not?" Ziggy says impatiently "ye" nicks says you smile and look at him and lay your head on his shoulder
You drifted of in his arms knowing your birthday was shit and then got turned around into something amazing
