I walked back into the kitchen and sat down. "It didn't work, did it." Aiden said, poking at his eggs with his fork.
"Yeah, it definitely worked." I sighed, taking a piece of sausage and biting into it. Mom rubbed her face with her hand and sighed.
Aiden smiled. "I know how to get him out." He stood from his chair and walked down the hallway to Oliver's room.
It wasn't long until I heard Oliver yell, "Hey! Who told you that you could step foot into my room!"
"You might wanna hang onto your plate." Aiden laughed.
I wonder what his idea was. While Oliver was yelling and Aiden was laughing, I asked Mom, "Can I go over to Jack's house?" I'm sure that she wouldn't mind because Aiden and Oliver had a tutor come over to the house to do physical activities with them and help with homework.
"Yes, as long as you finished all of your homework." She rubbed a hand on my shoulder. Damnit. I forgot about my math homework.
"All I have is math homework. It's not that hard so I can just finish it when I get back home. I figured that I should give you a break from stuff while Aiden and Oliver go outside to play soccer or something" I ate some of my eggs.
"I need a break from those two. You're not as bad as-" Mom got cut off from Oliver screaming down the hallway.
"LET GO! LET GO OF ME!" He yelled. Soon enough, Aiden came through the kitchen dragging Oliver by the feet. While Aiden was dragging him, Oliver seemed to be trying to grip the floor.
"Aiden that's enough! He doesn't have to eat with us." Mom yelled.
Aiden let go of his feet and sat back into his chair."Well it's nice seeing him out of his room for once instead of doing his play-pretend voodoo magic stuff, or whatever." He then rolled his eyes.
Oliver got up and brushed off his clothes"I WILL MAKE YOUR-" Oliver started to yell but Mom cut him off by walking over to him and bent down and whispered something in his ear. His eyes widened.
"You shall receive my gratitude in return."Oliver smiled and ran off into his room. He later came back with his plate and sat down at his table. I wonder what Mom told him. Who knows. Maybe I'm better off without knowing.
"Well kiddos, I'm gonna run down by the store really quick. Logan, you're in charge until their tutor gets here." Mom said, grabbing her purse and keys. Continuing she said, "You two, no fighting and obey Logan." With that, she walked out the door and shut it behind her with a small wave.
"I'm going to my room to play games." Aiden got up and put his plate in the sink.
"Not so fast buddy. We are spending time together as a family." I gave him a fake smile and lightly tugged on his hoodie sleeve. He then crossed his arms and sat back down in his chair.
"So, then what the hell are we doing?" He sighed, crossing his arms. We usually curse when Mom isn't home. If she found out, she would absolutely kill us. "Better not be boring." He murmured.
"Now now, Aiden. You don't want to upset our dearest brother, Logan, now do you?" Oliver smiled, resting his head on his hand.
"Shut up you little-" I cut Aiden off before they both started to fight.
"Okay you two. How about.. Drum roll pleaseee.." I started banging my hands on the counter and continued, " Play pretend!" I smiled.
"What the hell-"Aiden paused."That is literally the dumbest game you could come up with. You're literally 17, almost done with high school, and this is what you came up with?"
"Oh come on now, don't be that way. If you have a better game to play then say it." I crossed my arms and cocked my eyebrow at him. He was silent for a few seconds.
"Well I mean, laser tag, water balloons,-" He started to suggest but I interrupted him.
"Do we have lasers, or balloons?" I questioned.
"N-" I interrupted him again.
"Exactly, no. So, I guess we are going with the game I came up with." I gave him a light smile but he just rolled his eyes in return.
Suddenly, Oliver's hand jolted up in the air. "May I go first? I have a brilliant idea!" He almost yelled and chuckled to himself when he finished his sentence. He laughs to himself pretty often, so I'm kinda used to him doing that.
I wonder what his idea was because he came up with something pretty quick. I raised my eyebrows and smiled. "You may."
"I'll be back, I need to achieve the props!" Oliver ran off into the hallway. This is going to be interesting.
Me and Aiden went over to the couch and sat down. "I wonder what that brat is doing." Said Aiden stretching out his legs.
"Hey now. Don't be rude. He's only 12. Kid's got a creative imagination." I replied, lightly elbowing his arm.
"Too creative." He corrected me, rubbing his arm.
Oliver came into the room in Aidens computer chair pushing himself with one foot. With the final push, he was in front of us slowly spinning in a circle.
"Hey! He isn't allowed to take my stuff!" Aiden yelled getting up from the spot he sat at. Before they started to fight, again, I put my arm out in front of him and pushed him back down.
"Stop being so harsh on him. He's just having fun." I whispered into his ear.
"Fuck.You." Aiden mouthed to me and sat down. I don't understand why they can't get along. There wasn't one time they've gone a day without fighting. I still believe that they care about one another, they both just don't want to show it.
"Hello! Please welcome the not so great Aiden! I care about my dearest brothers so very much! I love being a couch potato and playing games all day long instead of spending time with my beloved family!" Oliver grinned ear to ear while spinning slowly in a circle with his arms up in the air.
"That's it you little b-" Aiden said, balling his fists while getting up. He got up pretty quick so I didn't have time to react. When I finally knew what was happening, Aiden went to take a swing at Oliver but I quickly blocked his punch. When I caught his fist, I moved one of my legs and kicked them out from under him.
"Haha! Yes! King Logan saves once again!" Oliver laughed.
"Fuck you guys I'm going to my room." Aiden said, standing up from where he fell.
I lightly grabbed his arm,"No, Aiden. We are-" I was interrupted by someone knocking at the door.
Must be Mr.Thomas.
I furrowed my eyebrows and pointed at them both, "Fight again and I'll kill you both. Period. I'll be back."
I turned away and headed for the door.
As I was walking away, I looked over my shoulder to make sure that they were not fighting.
Surprisingly, they weren't fighting, just giving each other dirty looks but I just decided to ignore it.
I opened the door to find Mr. Thomas greeting me with a warm smile.
"Hey, Logan! Long time no see huh? You've grown so big haha. Mind if I come in?" He said, giving me a big smile.
"Oh uh, yeah! Come on in." I gestured him inside and he took a step inside. I leaned over to his ear and whispered, "and also, they just got done fighting. So if they seem a little bloodthirsty for each other, then just ignore it." He gave me a small nod.
I stood at the doorway, putting on my shoes to get ready to walk over to Jack's house.
"Hey boys! Did you-" I cut off Mr.Thomas by walking out of the door. Well, I better get to walking.

"Dude, you are such an idiot. I would've wanted to see them fight." Jack laughed while bouncing the basketball.
"Shut up, I didn't want them to get hurt or anything." I replied.
"Ugh. You've got such a soft spot, y'know that right?" He threw the ball into the goal and missed. I don't understand how he can talk and play at the same time. I could never do it. I would always lose concentration.
"No I don't." I turned away. Do I? "I just don't want my mom to kill me."
"Yeah, whatever dude."
