You heard the horn for the evening communal meal before you could answer. All three of you looked at the noise, "Yes, Do you want me to meet you here?" He looked confused at you as you all stood up. "Wait for me okay?" Tuk looked at the two of you before she bolted inside to put the unfinished top away. Neteyam nodded as you replied. "Of course Tuk." She gave a curt nod before turning around into the Marui. "Why meet here when we can just go to the beach right after tomorrow's lesson?" You gave a teasing face as you turned to him, "I just thought it would look weird if I just suddenly asked you to spend the afternoon with me." His glistening smile broke out before you finished your sentence. "I guess it would then." The sarcasm in his voice was very prominent. "Shall we meet over on the beach past the trees there so were not spotted either?" He had one hand on your shoulder turning you and the other pointing in the direction of a beach you couldn't see or knew of. "If The Mighty Warrior Neteyam suggests then who am I to resist." You both gave a joyful look you each other before Tuk came out holding your plates for tonight's meal. "Alright let's go." Tuk was practically bouncing as she walked, you were less excited about tonight's dinner as you had seen it, they had quickly become your favorite fish and tonight you would be eating one.
As you walked Neteyam gave you a nudge, "sad were eating your favorite fish?" There was that smile placed on his face still, you liked when he smiled you couldn't help but smile back. "How'd you know?" He gave a raised brow marking in response. "How could I not, it's the only fish you stare at.... And it's got purple." So the purple was what gave you away, you had only gone swimming with Neteyam for lessons, and nowadays you were more focused in the water. "You can just read me like a book can't you?" You were close to the communal room now, and out of the corner of your eye, you could see Mrs. Sully approaching as well. "I wouldn't say that." His hand was rubbing the back of his neck as Tuk pointed to her mother. "Neteyam, (Y/N), come let's go to mom." She turned and grabbed Neteyam's arm with the only free hand she had, you just followed behind them as Metikayina started flooding in. When you all caught up to Mrs. Sully you greeted her after her children. It was odd to you to call her by her first name so casually. If you didn't however you were greeted with either a reminder to call her Neytiri or a stern face with raised eyebrow markings.
After sitting to eat where you normally sat Kiri sat next to you as always. You two had become close with exploring and talking about the ocean, you spent most of your time alongside Kiri honestly. You would follow her anywhere you were sure of that. You would watch as her eyes would look at the same world you were seeing and see something totally different. Something about the world of Pandora appeared completely new to her. Maybe this was why you hung around her more, maybe you wanted her to see you differently than how you saw yourself.
"Did you give (Y/N) the knife you made her?" Your tail twitched lively as you heard Mr. Sully talk to Neteyam who was sitting right next to you. "Yea, I did." He glanced in your direction when his eyes met yours they fled from your sight. "How'd she like it?" Kiri had still been talking to you but stopped upon noticing you no longer paying attention. "She liked it fine." Your brows furrowed as you turned your head to the family finally entering into conversation with all of them. "I love it." You looked over at Neytiri and Mr. Sully who always sat together. Neytiri smiled at you glad you see you join in. "Good, may I see it?" You had your hand on your knife the entire dinner as you didn't have a satchel to put it on yet to keep it at your hip. "Sure." Your hand brought the sheathed knife up and across the table. Neytiri pushed your hands back to your space. "I only need to see it," "It's beautiful mom, Neteyam spent a lot of time on it," Tuk spoke as Neteyam shifted in his seat. Lo'ak must have noticed him shuffling as he gave a smirk to his brother. You paid them no mind as you unsheathed the knife. Watching the knife glisten in the light almost had you mesmerized by its beauty all over again.
"Neteyam, it's stunning." His mother gave him a proud look, she looked at the knife. "Nice job." His dad was looking at the blade closer than Neytiri, looking as if he was scanning the blade's craftsmanship rather than admiring the blade. "Thank you." Neteyam gave a swift nod to his parents. "So that's what you've been up to." Lo'ak was leaning forward to see the blade as he sat on the other side of Neteyam. "You'd have known if you paid attention more." Mr. Sully looked at his younger son when he spoke to him. You brought your blade back into its sheath. Kiri's hand made its way to yours capturing your attention again. "This must be why Tuk was so eager to drag you off." You nodded, "yes, she also showed me the top she's making me."
You were excited about the top too, it looked beautiful. You were also thankful it was more like a bikini, it covered more. To the Na'vi your clothes were normal but to you, they were very revealing. It seemed like you spent more time adjusting your clothes to make sure nothing was showing than swimming sometimes. "Tuk wanted to make you a more stable top (Y/N)." Mr. Sully drew your attention as he spoke directly to you. "She told me about how you were struggling so I showed her a bikini. I thought it would be more comfortable for you." You thought it looked more like a bikini than anything else. "I noticed it didn't look like traditional Na'vi style, thank you." You were touched by the thought, this just all filled you with more ambition to live up to Mr. Sully's expectations. "I'm surprised you're not wearing it now though." You looked at Tuk as her eyes avoided yours, she must have been really excited to show you the top and knife. "It's not finished quite yet, sir." A small smile grew on his lips as he looked over at Tuk as well. Tuk avoided his gaze as well as her mother's. "Weren't you supposed to show her the outfit when you were fully finished?" Neytiri gave her an astute look. "Tuk." Tuk's shoulders fell as she looked at her mother. "I was excited-" Before she could finish her sentence Neteyam interrupted. "I told Tuk she could." This was another common thread you had noticed within the family, Neteyam was always taking accountability for something. His mother gave a hum as she put her hand on Tuk's back gently. "Well, I still think it's too much purple." Lo'ak pipped up again causing you to lean back quickly and glare at him. "What!" He gave a raillery look. "It's too much." He gave a small pause before continuing. "Purple." A small gasp escaped you, you spent almost the rest of the evening communal meal playfully arguing with Lo'ak. When Mr. Sully told you two to quit it Lo'ak found entertainment in reaching his arm around his brother to pinch you. Not wanting to hand Lo'ak any sort of win for insulting your favorite color you pinched back. This also only lasted a short time as Neteyam grabbed lo'ak's hand stopping him from pinching you and quietly telling him to stop. This let you eat your dinner in some sort of peace, you were still eating your favorite fish though."
