Tuk giggle as she turned to face you. "No, it's for you skxáwng!" You didn't react at first, the Metkayina had given you all new clothes to swim better in the water when you arrived. You hadn't thought about making a new outfit with how busy you had been learning and exploring with Kiri. "For me?" Tuk nodded before turning away from you and behind herself grabbing another item. "This is too." When she turned she held a knife in a sheath. You audibly gasped when you saw it, having a knife was essential to Na'vi life and now you had one. You just stayed there shocked lifting your hands to cover your mouth which was wide open. You hadn't been gifted anything and you were sincerely touched, the knife handle had the same materials weaved onto it as the top Tuk was making. It was gorgeous, you loved it, and you wished to take immeasurable care of it. "Well do you want to take it, if you don't-" You placed your hands over the knife quickly. "No! I just- I'm shocked." You lifted the knife out of Tuk's hands when you started hearing a ruckus behind you, you didn't pay any mind as you held the knife close to your chest. "I'll cherish it."
"Tuk!" You still held it close, you never wanted to part from it now. It was yours and only yours, you didn't think you would let anyone else touch it not even if your life depended on it. "Tuk!" You recognized the voice now as they were closer now. "Tuk, tell me you didn't show her yet." You turned to see Neteyam hastily walking in your direction. "Hi, Neteyam." He looked at you and was about to greet you back as always when his gaze lowered. "Tuk!" Tuk gave out a whined reply, "What!" You still had the knife glued to your chest as Neteyam was now standing directly behind you two. "You were supposed to wait for me." Tuk just gave him a guilty face before scooting over to give him some room to sit. "Well, she hasn't opened it yet." Tuk leaned forwards and gave you a smile as Neteyam sat next to you. "That's something I guess." When he was fully sat he also looked to you ready for you to open the knife. "You can open it now." He pointed to the knife in your arms. "Oh- okay."
You brought the knife away from your chest and unsheathed the knife. As you unsheathed it you started to notice the color first, it was a mix of brilliant purple hues scattered amongst the blade. The thread woven to the handle matched the hues wonderfully as the variant colors of purple and blue string complimented the colors on the knife. They would match your skin as well, you couldn't wait to wear it all. You couldn't look away from your knife as you were now dragging your hands along the edge finding something new about it to be enthralled with. To you, this was the most beautiful knife you had ever seen. "Is it not what you wanted?" You saw his hand reaching out slowly to the knife, you quickly brought it close to you again. "No, no." The first no came out louder than you intended, your ears dipped down as you had a strong grip on the knife. "It's perfect, I love it." His face looked uncertain, Tuk had been weaving your top slowly next to him smiling. "See Neteyam, I told you she'd like it." She didn't look away from her work. Neteyam turned his head to look at her, his hair flung as he did so. "I still can't believe you showed it to her when I wasn't here Tuk." Sometimes you wondered if his hair was magic with how much it moved. "Sorry Neteyam, I was really excited." He just gave out a sigh as he smiled at his youngest sibling. "You should've seen her drag me halfway here." Neteyam looked over at you smiling, "I did for a bit when she was pulling you away from Kiri's sight." You gave a small chuckle thinking about how ridiculous you must have looked when your ass was almost to the ground at one point. "I had to be fast, Kiri always gets to (Y/N) before I can... And you wouldn't help." You raised an eyebrow, "really? Neteyam wouldn't help?" Your tone was slightly sarcastic as you didn't know Neteyam could ever say no to his siblings. "Yea, something about not wanting to ask you in front of everyone." Neteyam was quick to make his excuse as you looked at him with a teasing look. "I just thought it would look weird if I suddenly asked you to spend the afternoon with me."
"Why the whole afternoon?" You sheathed your knife back up in your hands carefully. "Someone has to teach you how to use and take care of the knife." You nodded looking away into the ocean. "Who better to teach you than Neteyam." Tuk still kept her focus on her work, and Neteyam just gave a hum in response to her. Your finger slid across the woven handle as you looked at the fish swimming close. The handle felt tightly knotted as it didn't give too much when you touched it. "Here," his hands layed on your knife, at first your hands didn't budge. You kept a firm grip on the knife but you figured he was going to teach you something. As he took it he unsheathed it again revealing the beautiful blade to you. "This is sea glass, you know the one Tisreya has?" You nodded, she had shown your group her knife when she was preparing food. "They are the same material." You looked closer at the blade, now you started to notice the similarities. "Wow, where did they find purple sea glass?" Neteyam's ears folded downward before answering. "It was when I was out with Kiri when I saw it." You had been looking at Neteyam but now you watched his eyes. "You told me you liked purple so when I saw it I remembered you didn't have a knife." You remembered telling him within the first few hours of flying on his Ikran. That first hour was one of the most awkward moments of your life. "Oh, right I did say that." Neteyam's brow markings frowned in concern. "Was I wrong?" Tuk lifted her head at this and you shook your head. "You got it, purple is my favorite color." Tuk's shoulders rested again as she went back to working on the top. "Good, good." Neteyam gave a nervous chuckle noise. You just nodded silently as he still had the knife in his hands. He sheathed it back covering the blade. He placed it back in your hands, scratching the top of his head and giving you a smile he spoke again. "So, are you free to learn how to use it tomorrow?"
