Broken Within

CHAPTER 18~•~

The boys would want to talk to him but it didn't mean that we couldn't FaceTime at night. We didn't communicate much since he went to England. My major concern was Melanie, I needed to find her. I checked the class to find Carver and Melanie with Eva. Really, she left me to sit with them. First those demons make my mood bland, and my face pale. And my best friend ditches me.

                
                 ╬☯╬ CARVER'S POV╬☯╬

Ariana left the chemistry lab along with a few other girls and boys too.

"Where are you all going to?" Mr Ian fumed but none of them spared a minute to listen. "You all will get detention for this." He threatened but they left anyway.

Eva stayed still. She didn't say a word. Mr Ian sighed. " I can't give the assignment or teach if you all aren't complete. We'll complete this next class." He took his backpack and left.

We left after the teacher. I was walking in the hallway and Eva kept following me without saying a word. I had to admit she gave me the creeps with her hair covering half her face, her other eye staring keenly at me and this stoic expression she has. Everything freaked me out. I spun around again from time to time only to see Eva when someone crashed into me.

"They're back!" She continued running in her cheerleading uniform. She didn't bother to apologize. I sighed, frustrated but whatever she said rang in my ear. My curiosity drove to me the angels that fell from the sky. I had to see who was making everyone so excited. Usually, I wouldn't be bothered, but I didn't want to be clueless either.

I got to the hallway close to where the principal's office was to see a few number of students gathered outside, cheerleaders and boys from the soccer team where there too. They stepped out of the office they didn't look important to me. They did look cool, but it made no sense as to why they gathered outside the principal's office making such a ruckus. They didn't look like any teen celebrity I had heard of. Sometimes I wondered if the school had a principal, she barely acted like one.

Everyone hugged, shook their hands and fist bumped them. Selena crashed into the boy like a mad dog. I suddenly remembered Eva, and spun around to see that she was gone. I had no idea  when she stopped following me. At least she left. I looked back at the scene to see Ariana stare at Selena and the boy linking arms. She was burning red with anger, her facial expression said it all. Melanie spoke to her before going to meet the boy. It began to get boring, there wasn't much to see so I left and slowly my mind drifted away as soon as I plugged my ears so I could listen to NF's The Search.

I almost got to class when someone tapped me from behind. I was scared that it would be Eva, my heart skipped a beat. I was relieved when I saw Melanie. I disconnected my ear pods from my phone.

"Jeez! I kept calling your name like a weirdo. I had no idea you were plugged." Melanie pouted her lips in a funny way.

"Well I had no idea you kept calling my name."

"I know that."

"So?" I asked confused.

"Nothing. I wanted to say hi, that's it." She smiled.

"Hello."

Melanie frowned. "Really? That's it?"

"Yup."

"Oh hey! You should come meet Cole." Her frown turned to a grin.

"Who?"

"Cole. He's a really good friend of Ariana and I. I'm sure you'd love him. He just returned today. Don't tell Ariana I said anything, but she has this huge crush on him."

"Oh wow." I replied coolly. It was really non of my business. I stepped into the class.

"Way to be sarcastic." Melanie said.

"It's what I do best." I took a sit in class.

"I see a promising career."

"What?!" I chuckled.

"Hey." A cold voice said, it was loud but it felt like a whisper. I knew that voice.

Melanie and I turned to look at Eva. I sighed.

"Oh huh? Hey." Melanie looked startled. I was glad that I wasn't the only one she freaked out.

A/N

And that's a wrap. My fingers are tired and so am I. Eva creeps me out too. Just joking I think she's really cool^_^ after all she is my baby. Was she really walking after Nathaniel or not?

Cole is so sweet isn't he? If you don't think he is well that's your issue. Sorry not sorry if that was harsh.

Honestly, if I was Carver and Eva was following me like that, I might have made a run for it cause wtf (≧▽≦).

This is such a beautiful chapter though (•‿•) can't wait to see more of Cole.
