Rome Wasn't Built In A Day, But It Was Burned In One

(some kind of rant)

"Not my fault that you've got your head so far up your ass that you can't even do something as simple as washing the damn dishes!"

"It's fucking dishes, (B)! Why are you getting so worked up over something so small?!"

"Because-"

"Actually, no, I don't wanna fucking hear it! Must be some stupid excuse so that you can talk shit about me for something I did."

The man scoffed, watching his boyfriend storming out of the kitchen and to their shared bedroom, which isn't even shared anymore because of their failing relationship. He followed him there, slamming the door back open just when (A) was about to slam it shut.

"You're really getting on my nerves right now!"

"Well, I could say the same for you, so I guess we're both on the same page." 

(A) rustled through their closet to get a duffle bag, then carelessly shoved his necessities and things in it.

(B) sighed angrily, "What the fuck are you doing now?!" 

Nothing was said by (A) as he zipped the bag up and shoved past (B), making his way to the exit. The other stared at him before he followed him once again, stopping by the sofa.

"And where do you think you're going?!"

"Somewhere! Anywhere! Away from you!" (A)'s words rolled off his tongue like poison, hitting (B) where it hurts. (A)'s expression softened, his grip on the bag tightening.

"Look... this relationship is clearly falling apart right now, and we definitely need a lot of time apart from each other, to blow off some steam," he stepped out of the apartment, "I'm gonna stay at a friend's place for a while, alright? I'll probably be back in a month."

"I'm sorry, but it's for our own good," he shut the door.

Relationships aren't built in a day, but it can be burned in one.

the first part of the story (where the two were arguing) was actually just me ranting abt my mom and i's relationship (you can prob guess who a and b is supposed to represent) the rest is just an extension bc i got bored and needed to blow off steam
